"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." Ephesians 3:14-19
For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises.
Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome.
Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here.
The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer.
Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. People are asked to take a look at the posts and either pray a blanket covering / praise or pick out specific area where they have prophetic / discernment awareness / intercession of a request.
If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern." Additional anonymity can be gained by sending a request or praise to svcw via FReepmail.
In the future, the weekly thread will be posted on Monday mornings in order for the concerns to be gathered through the week before they are compiled for the Sunday evening group prayer. This list will be available to all by around 4pm PST on Sunday.
If anyone has any additional ideas for this thread, or anyone would like to volunteer to help keep this thread going, please let us know.
Just as an example of prayer lists. When I was under going chemo for ovarian cancer in 1987, I had a particularly bad day. It was the only time I crumbled to the floor and sobbed. I received a phone call in the middle of this episode from my foster mother in Colorado, I live in California, who had just received a call from a young man in Texas who saw our names on a prayer list. He found her phone number (we still do not know how) and asked if he could pray with her about me. He wanted to lift not only me but her as well. My foster mom was so moved she called me to let me know someone I did not know was praying/interceding on my behalf. Praise God and prayer lists.
Ping to something new and exciting!
For where two or three are gathered together in my name.....
And if there are those who wonder at this promise to be in our midst when gathered in His name, I and others can share numerous episodes of His glorious work, even in mundane economic things ... remember, it is ALL for His glory, and by His Spirit His Presence is the focus for miracles.
Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone,
I’ll be here....
Exciting indeed! Since I am a Christian but don’t consider myself as belonging to a particular group, this is for me. Thanks for the ping
Ping to #3...I forgot ;(
I give thanks to almighty God for bringing my extended family through all their recent health problems. Everybody is on the mend. thank everybody for the prayers and support.
That is indeed good news, graybeard...Praise Him.
Prayer Request, I’m having surgery on Monday
I give praise that we have such spirit filled freepers
Prayers of course but I’m behind, who is having surgery?
Yes. That is the posters screen name.
You get an “A”...good Jlob!
That is the promise that non-denominational churches are as valid as any denominational church.
If you want Jesus to be in the midst, then all you need is two or three gathered in His name.
No elaborate rituals, no fancy robes, no smoke and incense, just two... or three.... gathered... together... in His name.
I'd also like to invite you and others to join Kingattax's daily "Pray for America" thread. You can look for it between 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET. Anyone wishing to be pinged to the thread can contact me.
I appreciate your call to group prayer and expect to see "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine." :)
" Her step-mom is Susan, her Dad is Dave and her mom is Tina. She has 2 brothers also, along with 2 step-brothers. She is still here with us. It is sad. All she wanted to do was be able to go to a movie, but she is too weak to even try with a gurney or anything.
It really breaks my heart. She wont let friends come to see her because she doesnt want them to see her in this condition. She has had such a tough life, made some bad choices at times, but has always been a fighter".
Prayers requested for Amanda, her family and friends.
Thank you for starting this and to all of you who work so hard here.
I will be in the prayer group Sunday evening.
Praise God and His loving mercy.
You are added and please add me to your list.
God bless and keep you Jim, and may He continue to bless you with healing love. We will be praying for you Sunday night.
Thank you, and done!
I’ve had food allergies my whole life and on occasion they flare up worse than others and this is one of those times.
I’m allergic to most vegetables and some fruits and have had some pretty strong reactions lately; some of them delayed reactions where you have a second reaction the next day or two. That happens with me with stings, too.
I’ve never had it serious enough to require a trip to the ER but they sure can be pretty scary.
I would love to be able to eat well with lots of fruits and vegetables, but right now, that’s just not an option. The only answer for food allergies is healing because there’s no treatment for them.
Also prayer for my daughter’s job and college complications. She’s had a terrible time since she started almost two years ago and she really needs the money.
Is there some kind of keyword we could add that could be specific to this prayer list so that we can come back to it and follow up on the prayer requests?
I’d like on both your lists.
I listed key words as prayer, praise.
I did not think about something specific. Thanks you for the idea. Do you have anything in mind.
We are going to try and post some small devotional and or verses each Monday morning and our hope is when people have praises to prayer requests they will let us know so everyone can know.
Thanks. I have no doubt that when I’m healed I would know it without even having to try food to test. A huge part of the allergy is eczema that never really goes away. Sometimes it’s better than others but there’s always low grade inflammation.
When I had my tonsils out many years ago, the doctor gave me a shot of prednisone to keep the swelling down for a few days at least, and although I didn’t know it at the time, I knew he did something because of how clear my skin was. If it just stayed as eczema, I could easily live with that. It’s the more generalized body wide reactions that are the problem.
My daughter has a job now but is having problems with skin rashes to some of the artificial butter they put on the popcorn when it splashes on her. I’d hate to see her have to quit the job because of that. She’s very computer geeky and would just love a job with the Apple store or Geek squad but that hasn’t panned out yet. Jobs are not for the taking around here so prayer is the only way that she’s going to get one.
group prayer ping
How about Mondaydevotional or something with Monday in it?
Boy, do I know about allergies. I am allergic to nearly every anti-biotic known to man as of today.
I do not know where you live but have you tried the Apple Stores, they are always looking for the “computer geek”.
Does the school have a computer lab?
Your prayers will be answered, the hard thing for us mere humans is the patience part of it. All is done in His time for Him to be Glorified. It is like that song “Be Glorified”.
Well mama I am going to watch a movie. You have good and blessed night.
I will add that to the key word area.
My daughter did try the local Apple store and actually got interviewed but not hired. :(
She can drop by there again and let them know she’s still interested.
We had an absolutely wonderful prayer meeting Wednesday. One of our families went to Lakeland for the meetings, and when they came back, they were powerful! Their prayers were so different. I went up for prayer for my healing and wow. I have finally come to the realization that I WILL be healed. I’ve known it in my head for years but never really believe it for me. Now I do. So Praise God for His goodness. He never gives up on us no matter how little our faith is.
Have you ever been to a nutritionist who deals with supplements? That might be helpful.
You guys are AWESOME! Thank you so much for the strength of your convictions, and for your tireless work.
I’ll be here for prayers! Sunday at 10:00 MST - be there or be square!
Good job, svcw. Count me in (if I can remember, that is). Love, M
Add me to the ping list!
I have continual pain from arthritis in my spine.
Please lift up these concerns in your prayers. Thank you.
Have you ever tried an inversion table? Sometimes they work really well on compressed discs in just a matter of seconds.
***If someone has not experienced the Lord’s Presence in a gathering for prayer***
What I find amazing is how at times a group can be gathered for prayer and after the Amen is said you think well that didn’t last long, maybe 5 minutes or so. You peek at your watch and 45 minutes has passed.
Being totally lost in prayer is a blessing on this side of eternity, perhaps a foreshadowing of heaven
My doc hasn't recommended any compression treatments. He is an osteopath, so is familiar with chiropractic treatments also, and they haven't given me any relief.
I haven't gone the route of the pain management physicians as yet, and the surgery doesn't have a good success rate.
Prayer is my best recourse at this time, it appears.
Thanks for your response and prayer.
Would you like to be added to the Monday Prayer thread ping list?
What a good comment for this thread. Thanks, GC.
***The problem is spur growth around a nerve in the spine and that affects my legs...can’t stand very long or walk very far. It’s painful just to work over the kitchen counter and range to cook a meal.***
Thank you for putting me on your ping list.
