Yikes!
It always kind of freaks me out. We are sitting ducks in our churches. The big festivals could easily be targets.
Last Christmas someone walked in and took our Poor Box. The person left the box in the back but it was estimated that s/he got about 400.00. ON Christmas!
Takes a special kind of desperation to steal on Christmas. Our pastor went on tv, thankful that the oak box was left and stating that if the person had said something instead, the parish would have been very generous to them.
The community came through and gave 700.00 in small bills to the church office to replenish the Poor Box. It was marvelous.
I wonder if his name is mohamed
Probably not. He’s probably the estranged husband/boyfriend or relative of one of the people at the festival, unfortunately.
“I wonder if his name is mohamed.”
My bet is his name is Juan or Miquel.

Update. Not significantly more information.
Was a domestic violence deal...guy shot his ex wife and two others as they were about to open the festival. Off-Duty Burbank Police Officer took him down with the help of others.
Thanks for the info and update Karl.
Happened in a vestibule in a church too. While Mass was going on...some low life came in and stole the real Christmas presents under the tree. Takes someone really special to do something so vile.
