Even the Bible admonishes one to test the spirits to see if they are from God or not.
It can not be had by trying to use the finite mind
Everyday you use your finite mind to berate The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Prophet Joseph Smith, by trying a method which have limited application to measure with because it is earth bound.
Until you exercise with faith using the tools of the Lord you will never be able to receive a witness from the Holy Ghost.

That is SO true!!!
I use my finite mind to find things the LDS Organization has publicized over the years; and I re-publish them!!
It's really quite enlightening.
Do you find enjoyment that your organization ACTUALLY did and said those things?
So have I learned that the Presbyterian Church is not true way before I ever knew about the LDS!
It was the spirit of the Lord who told me when I read the Bible that none of the main stream Churches were in step with the scriptures and that was very disappointing and puzzling, because I ready, willing, and able to take things I read in the Bible as being for real.
Most of you like to pontificate but I have yet seen any one of you exercising the word of the Lord.
All seems so many of you practices is faultfinding, under minding, backbiting, being mean and spiteful, unkind, distorting truth, deny the Holy Spirit as a source of knowing truth and discernment, you rather trust your finite mind and print words void of the witness of the Holy Spirit!
When one can not let go and let God they really are not his, because they rather play God than to let go and to lean on the Lord!

I hate to have to point this out to you; again; for the umpteenth time; but your Organization does things that are not in YOUR Scriptures: namely the stuff in the Temple.
NONE of that is found in Scripture.
How then can you state that the Presbyterians are wrong without stating similarly that YOUR church is wrong?
Read your BoM cover to cover.
Read your D&C's cover to cover.
Read your Pearl of Great price cover to cover.
IF you find ANY temple rites in there; THEN you can safely say that YOUR church is following the Word of the Lord.
If you can't; the Holy Spirit will urge you to use your mind and find a place where God truly does reside.
May the Resurrected Light of Jesus shine into all the world!
