Two Female Catholic Priests Conduct First Mass (coffee mugs down alert!)
Mystl ^
| December 1, 2007
Posted on 12/03/2007 7:41:06 AM PST by NYer

Two Roman Catholic female priests who were recently ordained co-pastored their first mass Saturday night in the central west end.
Rose Marie Hudson and Elsie McGrath led the service at the first Unitarian church of St. Louis.
About one hundred people showed up.
The service was held in the church's Hope Chapel.
The pastor of the church says it was a fitting place for an event where hope and understanding were very much alive.
The Roman Catholic Church does not recognize the ordination of Hudson and McGrath that was conducted by an organization called Roman Catholic Women Priests.

In other news, wideawake's two pre-teen daughters took over governance of the entire planet yesterday following wideawake's designation of them as "Co-Empresses Of The World."
If one would like to receive a title of nobility from the co-empresses, FReep mail me.

It’s all make believe. These women aren’t priests, they didn’t celebrate a Mass and they aren’t Catholic.

There are so many things wrong with this sentence, I wouldn't know where to start parsing it.
The truly outrageous thing is that this was reported on a Faux News affiliate.

Two Roman Catholic female priests who were recently ordained co-pastored their first mass Four errors, and it's not even a complete sentence! They aren't Roman Catholic, they aren't priests, they weren't ordained, and two priests "concelebrate" Mass they don't "co-pastor" it. (Of course, since they aren't priests, maybe "co-pastor" is the best they can do ... hmm?)

Send a response to the Fox affiliate who ran this idiotic article:
Contact Fox St. Louis
Here's my response:
Dear Fox,
Thanks for running your article on the so-called Catholic priestesses. I wanted you to know that I've recently been elected Pope under the regnal title "Pope Ace Ventura XIV" and I would invite you to attend my installation at the "Bro's Step In Lounge" at the corner of 24th and Main.
Hey, why not? My election as pope has exactly as much validity as the so-called ordination of these priestesses. It would be grossly unfair of you to cover their fantasy antics while ignoring mine.
Sincerely,
Pope Ace XIV

What gets me is the lack of the word “priestess”. Seems like a good word to me, but it’s always “female priest” this and “woman priest” that...

The only truth in that title is "Two Female(s)", and even that is questionable.
To: NYer
Two Roman Catholic female priests . . . No such thing.
. . . who were recently ordained . . .
Never happened.

Well, that's the most accurate statements in the whole article - a Unitarian chapel is far more fitting for this event than a Catholic church because there was nothing at all Catholic about it, just like there's nothing at all Catholic about these ladies.
To: NYer
It boggles the mind how some women are dying to become priests yet shun becoming nuns.

It’s all about power. They are victims of the feminist movement. When my daughter made her Confirmation, the Bishop asked several of the girls if they wanted to be priests when they grew up (he is left wing liberal). Comments such as that simply fuel the fire of desire.

That should be Father Rose Marie Hudson!
Seriously, have these loons come to grips with the issue of their "official" titles? Father? Mother? Sister? Rosie baby?
The Unitarian Church is where they're gonna end up anyways.

We dont want them. Don't blame you. We don't want them, either.
AND ... We formally excommunicated them. Informally, too.
So they're not ours.
And they are protesting us.
That makes them ...
uhhhhhhh ...
Oh, yes. It makes them protestants.

Ten people claim to be pope, yet there is only one real pope.
Some women claim to be Catholic priests. Yet they are not real priests, nor are they even Catholic.
File these under concepts too difficult for the media to comprehend.
