Yes, Peter Meade is still an advisor to the Cardinal. He (Meade) wrote a favorable op-ed on same-sex marriage in either the Herald or the Globe (when it comes to social issues, it’s pretty hard to tell the papers apart)...

Do you know anything else about Meade? I mean what does he do besides support gay marriage and advise the cdl?

If he means state of the “Unam”, I’m doing quite fine, thank you.

From Lifesite News,

BOSTON, June 14, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Gay marriage is just another step in "natural social evolution" writes a high profile lay advisor to Boston Archbishop Cardinal O'Malley. The advisor, Peter Meade--one of seven members of Catholic Charities in Boston who resigned over the Archdiocese's decision to ban same-sex couples from adopting--maintains his position on the committee O'Malley appointed to recommend which parishes in the Archdiocese ought to be closed.

...snip...

Before his resignation over the Church's refusal to allow homosexual adoption, Meade was the Chair of Catholic Charities in Boston. Meade is currently co-chairman of the Meade-Eisner commission with Sister Janet Eisner[another leftist, president of Emmanuel College], which reviews parish closings in Boston.

He's also a media type, a retired(?) radio personality.

Don’t forget, he’s also selling off pieces of the St John Seminary and so the head of the Seminary resigned in protest...

Well, at least he has a real job -- he can't put all his time into wrecking the archdiocese!

I didn’t know that. Very sad. To me, one of the first and worst signs of the collapse was when the Jesuit seminary on the banks of the Hudson turned into the Culinary Institute of America. When superiors and bishops start getting rid of seminaries, it’s never a good sign.

BTW, I saw that the Pope (tentatively) plans to visit St. Joseph’s at Dunwoodie (the NYC seminary) which went through a couple of major clean-ups under Cdl O’Connor.

Thank you for the expose! I am truly surprised.
