I want a Commander-in-Chief who can beat Hillary or Obama in the general election, because I don't want a Commander-in-Chief that will lose the war."
Why don't y'all just throw your media money behind Rice, then, instead of one of
her advisors? He also supports favored trade with antagonistic regimes in Asia and South America while restricting trade with friendlies.

Why don't y'all just throw your media money I have no idea what you're talking about, but this guy supports your fight against faux-conservatives like me:
BTW, when are you going to tell me how Reagan got nominated in the four channel lib media world. Did the libs see him as a "progressive." Inquiring minds want to know.

So you’re advising the federal government to stop trading with antagonistic regimes throughout the globe. Thereby throwing the entire world into chaos. I thought you we’re just ignorant. Now I can see your a dangerous know-nothing.

I will quibble about one thing. During the primary I will support the man who best reflects my views. Thats Hunter, with Thompson as a close second. If you want a conservative, you have to vote for a conservative, and Hunter is the conservative in this race. Great, and that's probably what I will do...but let's remember that we absolutely need to avoid vote-splitting if the race between Fred and Rudy becomes tight in the late primaries. Feeling good about a pro-Hunter vote won't last long if Rudy or Hillary ends up appointing two Supremes in his or her first term.

"Offering up an abundance of off the wall rhetoric serves no good purpose."
That's a projection. I posted some linked evidence. You only posted rhetoric. It's the "fear the Fred" campaign way.
"Whether you like it or not, its Rooty versus FredT."
Don't forget to include our choice of Democrat with that. First, it was Giuliani or Clinton. After we refused to accept that, we're offered Thompson or Clinton.
I'm offering you the choice between Hunter and Clinton. I want a real national defense, no more domination by limp wristed perverts in business, and no more Vagina Monologues presentations in nearly all of our big-church-administrated universities.

" If Fred Thompson wins the nomination and takes office, who will appoint the next two Supremes?"
...the same people behind the scenes who have had the "Vagina Monologues" featured in over thirty of their religious universities. Our Government needs to be repaired. Government by liberaltarian lawyers is not working.

First, at its face that's a big stretch. Some proof would help immensely.
Secondly, since when does the government run religious universities? If it doesn't, why do you think that Hunter could stop it?

I really didn't want to bring any particular church into it. All/most of the big ones and some of the small ones are involved from various sects. That's why I didn't cite or link. Catholic people appeared to be mostly the ones to discuss the problem and try to do something about it. People of most Protestant sects send their kids to public universities and do nothing about the problem.
But as you wish,...

My message is that both of our major political parties are infested with anti-defense, social "progressives," and we need a turn to the right.
The following are Fortune 500s that filed briefs in favor of "affirmative action" in the Michigan "Grutter v. Bollinger" (Michigan University) case.

It doesn't. But it could stop enforcing the current social paradigm, if we refused to settle for less than conservative candidates for a while. IMO, we don't need to allow the lawyer party (LP) to infest and control Republican politics.

Those aren’t my main concerns, though. There’s a war that we shouldn’t avoid much longer.

I realize that an overarching number of these institutions are Catholic (at least in name), and they've been in the news quite a bit over the last several years because of this issue. That said, the majority of these institutions (if not all of them) are allowing it because they
want to in order to be "tolerant" or worse, because they actually see something to it. It is not because they're being forced from outside. And if they are being forced, there are a number of Catholic lawyers and law groups that would be glad to assist them. If you look into the post, you'll see that with pressure from outside, several schools canceled the performances on their campuses.
But of course, that isn't the part that I found to be a stretch.
How does Thompson fit into this (and your next two posts for that matter)? THAT is what I wanted proof about.

Full Disclosure: I would far prefer to see Hunter join Thompson as his VP so that he can take the reins for the Republican Party in 4-8 more years. Right now, everybody has been seeing Hunter, but it just seems like nobody has been paying attention to him.

The information starts with
comment #17 in this thread. Then read the favorable write-ups from CATO and about Thompson's ambiguities on abortion (don't have the links handy here and need to get back to work). But like I said, my main concern is defense.

Yeah, that's why he won Tennesee with 61% of the vote, they're all commies down there. Two words: Prove it. Now the rest of the story. Have you ever heard of Bob Clements? He was the DEM son of former Tennessee Governor Frank Clements whom Fred had he ran again would have lost too. Here is the problem FREEPERS do not understand. Fred won first term on special election for two years IIRC and did good. It was his second tern he literally fell apart on such things as Chairing Hearings and a Not Guilty Vote. NOBODY in FR liked Fred after the senate trial remember? Fred could not have won a third term. Fred was not the same Fed reelected for a second term the DEMs had him for lunch. Do you really want a repeat of that? Fred is a good lawyer and a good actor. He is NOT National Office Material. His second term says so.

Enough sponsorship of popular media by the leftist/libertarian opposition will do that. But there is hope.

And remember that Howard Baker is Thompson’s mentor. Along with his chairmanship on the State Dept. advisory committee and the libertarian putsch behind him, that does not bode well for a nation facing a building, nuclear-armed enemy coalition overseas (Iran and Syria with SCO support).

yeah, what a load of dodo...did they take a large pole of evangelicals to base this article on...not! So much of journalism today is a sly attempt at mind control...the writers don’t even realize it.

So what you're saying is nothing new. I can handle that.
I want to see Fred in some of the debates, now that he's in. By the time I get to vote (in PA), it may be all decided anyways. If the nomination ends up being for Hunter and not Thompson, I'd be thrilled
That said, I still don't think Hunter has much of a shot this time around, that Thompson is our best chance, and that Hunter as VP this time around would be the best for all of us.
That said, the Hunter v. Thompson thread isn't going anywhere, I can look at it later, and both of us need to get back to work.
