I'm punched in the gut with shock. I was just told that the 28 yr. old son, an only child, of one of my co-workers is in the ICU with terminal melanoma. One of his lungs is already filled with a tumor.

I knew something was afoot, but we never found a moment alone for her to tell me the last time I saw her (I work from home and she's at the office). She kept it very private .. until she couldn't anymore.

I would be most grateful for prayers for Mike and his family. Dear Lord, I just can't get past this is in my mind. 28 yrs. old.

Sweet Jesus, please ... if it's Your will, I pray to you for healing of this terrible affliction in Mike, bring Your comfort and help to Mike and his docs in this struggle. Please bring Your tender mercies, the shelter of Your comfort and peace to Mike and his loving family, whatever Your will. Amen

Prayers have been sent. Oh, dear God. I have only one child too - a 23 year old son. I can't even imagine. It hurts just to think of anything happening to him. My sincerest prayers for a miracle for this young man. May Our Lord, in his infinite power, grant healing. I call on You right now in a special way; it is through Your power that I was created. Every breath I take, every morning I wake and every moment of every hour I live under Your power.

Father I ask You to touch me right now in a very special way, for if You created me from nothing, You can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the Healing power of Your Spirit.

Cast out anything that should not be in me. Mend what is broken, root out any unproductive cells, open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas.
