I suppose. This thread mainly seems to be about drinking anyway.About 10 posts out of 60 (so far)? I suppose there are never side discussions on RC threads. That was kinda snide of you, imo.

This is certainly a better goal for legislators than to arrogantly mandate our 10-year-old daughters be vaccinated against sexually-transmitted diseases.EXACTLY!

Snide? Well, I should have said 'off topic', which is more than 10. Perhaps annoyed would be a better description of my comments. I'll refrain from further posting, but I do appreciate your replies about the differences. It can get very confusing to new-ish Catholics, I can assure you.

"A broad term for Predestinarian Protestants, whether Presbyterian, Reformed Episcopalian, Dutch Reformed, Swiss Calvinist, "Old-School" Baptists, or what have you Missouri Synod and other "Old School" Lutherans"
Notice if you turn that statement this way;
A broad term for Predestinarian Protestants, whether Presbyterian,
Reformed Episcopalian,
Dutch Reformed,
Swiss Calvinist,
"Old-School" Baptists,
or what have you.
Missouri Synod and
other "Old School" Lutherans
What do you have? The word that does not pass over the lips of neeners lightly.

About 10 posts out of 60 (so far)? I suppose there are never side discussions on RC threads. As opposed to 14 posts (incl. the RM's) that had to deal with protests of "why can't Catholics post to this thread"? I don't think there's ever been a Protestant or Reformed Caucus thread that hasn't had a side discussion of the same type, but no one's claimed that this thread is actually about Catholic inclusivism.

For that you are quite welcome.

I think as a nation we don't think about it at all, and that is the problem.

You miss a subtle distinction.
Lent is a practice.
The "bloody heretics" are people.

"ARDSOOMO"
You weren't supposed to repeat that word in public. Now xzins will have to come up with another secret word and do you have any idea how hard it is to pass it on when you don't know who belongs since you don't have a list of names?
Rats! Five years of trial and error down the drain.

And, no, I haven't. Well, not today.

"Although non-Reformed, they are still Protestants."
Baptists are historically "Reformed" (Calvinist-TULIP) but not Protestants.

We all just seem to know each other for some reason, and if we haven't got Florida, Ohio State, or Germany in common....that explains the beer....then we have a pro-life Protestantism in common.
But one thing we ALL have in common is that meetings are supposed to begin with fellowship.
We just haven't got past that part yet.
And it ain't over 'til the first Hymn is sung.
Y'all got any any hymns in mind? (How 'bout 'Amazing Grace' --opens on Fridays at a theater near you-- Many don't know that's an old CALVINIST hymn....they think Joan Baez wrote it....sick,sick,sick...)
I need a midi file here, pronto!
