Yeah, I agree with all you say. In fact, also have this in mind: in the entire Bible, angels only fell postrate before two beings: God, and Mary of Nazareth. This speaks volumes. I can't find no other instances. Again, angels see the true nature of things and then call 'em as they seem 'em.
I can't claim full credit for the statement "angels see the true nature of things and then call 'em as they seem 'em." I've heard Dr. Peter Kreeft say it first. You may listen to his lecture on Aquinas and the Angels. It's most instructive.
Regarding Nimoy: I've read Nimoy's second autobiography, I am Spock. He's a secular Jew, "spiritual" in the broadest sense, perhaps observing of a few feasts, but not particularly "believing." That's how he strikes me.
