You know, I was thinking . . . the folks who have taken over ECUSA have got so much stress and persecution and general aggravation of the faithful to answer for, I would not want to be in their shoes for the total endowments and air rights of every church in Manhattan . . . .

. . . and I'm just a lay person with a combative attitude. I can only barely imagine how stressful it must have been for somebody who was in the Episcopal clergy.

The UPside to all of this is that we are safely in the One Fold, proving one again that God can bring good out of evil no matter how much trouble folks are trying to make.

And thanks for taking on jail ministry. That's something that desperately needs to be done, but not everybody has the wherewithal to handle it.

No.

There is no Canon on the topic other than those cited (which answer the question from the negative...)

But there was a document sent from Rome which stated that the term "chaplain" can NOT be used by anyone but an ordained priest (it MAY have included ordained deacons, too.)

Seems as though a number of wannabees of the female persuasion had absconded with the term and it was quite confusing.

Natch, we had a few of them in Milwaukee under His Disgraced, Rembert.

It will explain why your NEW Bishop has a very hard row to hoe...

The new Bishop has been in place 1-1/2 or 2 years. He's moving things in a very positive direction.

Regarding that gossip article, I am underwhelmed.

I was a friend of Fr. Fiore who is mentioned therein.

Like it or not, Cdl. Bernardin had a LARGE number of very strange friends. The Chicago organist story is documented, and obviously, so is the story about Charlotte.

I'm sorry, but I didn't see anything in that article about Charlotte. I'm the first to admit I need new glasses, but ...

Perhaps you're confusing Charlotte, North Carolina (a notably dull spot), with the much more colorful Charleston, South Carolina?

Aren't North and South Carolina the same?

Sorry....
