BIBLIOLATRY = proclaiming the significanceof God's Word
Psalms 138:2
I will worship toward thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness
and for thy truth:
for thou hast magnified
thy word above all thy name.

Have been around this mountain so much hereon, it's dreadfully . . . wearying.

Worshipping paper and ink vs worshipping The Living Word is idolatry, pure and simple, imho.

Certainly The Father has set The Living Word above all things. Other than that, I think I'll have to wait and ask Him precisely what He meant by that verse. And that verse has nothing to do with supporting KJVO. Sheesh.

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

This fetish business over the KJV is very sad, even with as much as I love the KJV.

But I think He's more grieved at those who put stumbling blocks in the way. I'd rather make Him laugh. :)

Much agree. And the KJVO stumbling block is so overtly and obviously obtuse and silly.

I'm sure Jesus went around speaking the Hebrew or Aramaic of Abraham's father's era! NOT!

Those aren't archaic words and the AV words given to replace them don't mean the same thing. They also don't give an accurate translaiton.

What sayeth the translators of the KJV?
From the Translators to the Reader from the origional preface to the KJV.

http://www.pb.org/npbdocs/kjtrans.html

Now to the latter we answer; that we do not deny, nay we affirm and avow, that the very meanest translation of the Bible in English, set forth by men of our profession (for we have seen none of theirs of the whole Bible as yet) containeth the word of God, nay, is the word of God. As the King's Speech which he uttered in Parliament, being translated into French, Dutch, Italian and Latin, is still the King's Speech, though it be not interpreted by every Translator with the like grace, nor peradventure so fitly for phrase, nor so expressly for sense, everywhere.

**Were you baptised in the Jordan?***

In the Jordan or in Jordan. There is a difference.

One is the river the other is the land of Jordan.

The Old Testament is full of references to sprinklings.
