It's always interesting to examine Lewis's life, although to me, his life is not nearly as interesting as his writings. I daresay, decades after his death, he would prefer us to discuss his writings rather than his life.
Not too long ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Walter Hooper, a man who worked with C.S. Lewis and edits most/all of his published materials today. I could see traces of Lewis left in him, and it was fascinating to talk with him about post-modernism.
