"Fr. Robert Nugent of New Ways Ministries in an article in the Washington Blade (Oct. 3, 1997): ‘In the face of reparative therapists and some Catholic ministers in the Church who deny there is homosexual orientation, the bishops are affirming this reality and asking to accept that reality in their children.’"

I love how these folks misrepresent those they oppose just so they can provide an "answer" that has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I find it impossible to believe this assertion that AOC was drafted to supposedly correct people who don't believe "there is homosexual orientation".
Who doesn't believe "there is homosexual orientation"?
Certainly our catechism does address this reality!

No...AOC was drafted to lay a guilt trip on the families of homosexuals...and to instruct them to be more understanding.
AOC had nothing to do with the Church's teaching regarding sexuality.

"However, I do question what role they can play in the Church. Can a homosexual priest rightly advise a heterosexual man or woman during a marital crisis? "

No...I don't think they can.
I think their disposition makes it impossible for them to understand the male/female spiritual/emotional/sexual bond.

Yes. People like that (and I use the term loosely) want to destroy the Catholic church and turn it into they personal perverted play yard.

Quote from "Are The Sodomites In Control? No help from Rome The Vatican is the problem"

By Stephen Brady

If a priest makes known his homosexual inclination, you can be sure he is promoting an agenda contrary to Church teaching. A celibate, orthodox priest, would have absolutely no reason whatsoever to make his sexual inclinations known to anyone...

The above excerpt nails it! Why would anyone other than an in your face activist devote Masses and articles celebrating and defending the gay lifestyle? The doo-doo is getting deeper and deeper the more I read about this. Again, I don't give a crap what gays do on their own time, just don't be pushing your agenda onto me, my family and my church. It seems like satan is using these people to get at Jesus and His Church.
