Divided We Stand?
Personal Observation ^ | August 29th, 2005 | Raquel Moreno

I have a question - If there are more than 500 Christian denominations in America alone, and thousands of religions and truths throughout the world...how can humanity ever survive? Even Jesus once said that a kingdom divided cannot stand.

What is the goal of religion? How can one people believe they alone are God's children? And why do we exploit the poor for ideaology?

I have discovered a major key to why we are all divided. Besides the interpretation of texts which I do not encourage, but also the grand scheme behind confusion...the author of sin.

Let us all decide we are confused ( a humble thing to do ) so we could find peace with each other. If we are all wrong and God alone right, we could even set aside our "knowledge" and see each other eye to eye.

If we continue demanding we are correct, we will not see how Satan has fooled us ALL. I have more thoughts on this subject. Love is the goal.

I understand the action of sawing the head off of an innocent man is an act of barbarism. I understand that blowing up children who are receiving candy is an act of barbarism.

It would be wrong of rockyroadlove to "enlighten us" since we are to set aside knowledge and just look into each others eyes.

Ewwww...that's kinda weired. :-)

The posting has a very, "We're all children of God" feel to it, and I'm weary of people who can't get a handle on Righteousness from God's perspective.

You need to get back with us soon rockyroadlove. The more time that passes before you reply, the higher our "Troll Meters" go. So don't spend a lot of time thinking about it.

Even Jesus once said...

As if He "weighs" in with the others? Like Muhammhed (sp?)?

?....What is the 'goal' of worldwide religions?

.....to worship Satan rather than to WORSHIP Jesus of Nazareth RESURRECTED at God-The-FATHER's Right-hand THRONE!

St. John 3:36

St. John 14:6

St. John 1:1

HUH?

Doesn't the Scripture itself say that God placed inside man a desire for God? Doesn't Romans tell us that? That all men have within them a natural law without the Torah? Religion is man's rational efforts to reach to Him. Sure, we cannot know God by rationale alone, we need revelation, as given to the Jews and Christians to learn the full truth. But other religions themselves are not FROM Satan. They are partial truths, partial untruths, and it is up to Christianity to reach out to these men, as God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. That can only happen if we evangelize the world, not accuse it's legitimate efforts to reach out to God as being directed by Satan.

Regards

You appear to be speaking of differences among Christians, do your concern is about the various Christian denominations.

My sense is that denominations exist because of historic and/or doctrinal distinctives.

Thousands of religions maybe, but only one truth.
