"If the Lord said this, shouldn't we staple this into our Bibles?"
Oooh, what a great phrase. Mind if I steal it?
To: Alex Murphy
So, you are in the business of telling God that He can't communicate to those His Only Begotten Son died to redeem?
When you are God's Boss, I'll be impressed.

Let me know. I'll be the first to give thanks to God.
To: Alex Murphy
NO false witness involved. I merely cast your statement in a very logical conclusion sort of way in terms of Biblical Christianity as I've experienced and observed it.
It appears to me that you side-stepped the issue very well.

Sorry, I forgot how this works. You suffer for your threads. You demand perfection from yourself, from your threads. How can you tolerate any less from us posters? Please allow me to start over again...
Good afternoon. One large prophetical statement to go. Bread. Beautiful.
Sorry. Thank you.
To: Alex Murphy
I do earnestly endeavor to be Christ-like. Not sure that I get anywhere close too often.
Then there are those who equate anything negative; reflective back etc; that I say with . . .
and, I really do NOT want to be guilty of that which I deplore.
And, I get exceedingly weary of statements like "staple this into your Bible" etc.
. . . as well as a very, very, very, long list of other statements of such ilk.
And then, sometimes I'm just weary from a list of spiritual battles.
Thanks for your degree, level of understanding.

I actually have oceans of grace for folks who blunder along as I do.
You know the sorts of comments that have been developed into an art form and which

Would you consider that prophecy new revelation? If not, why is it considered prophecy? If it is new revelation, then it belongs in the Bible.

IT APPEARS
that you have no intention of accepting I Cor 12-14 and Acts 2 as part of our INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR CHRISTIAN LIFE.
IF
you won't accept the truth from those passages, you certainly won't accept it from me.

Does that mean,
if you wrote a manual for life as you saw it and sent it to all your relatives and loved ones . . .
that you would then stop emailing them, phoning them, sending them birthday cards?
Jesus DIED that we might have initmacy, dialogue with THE FATHER.
You seem to be sadly against that.

Isn't it odd that God gets worked up over the same things that the media gets worked up over?
To: Quix
I asked a simple question. Is it new revelation or not?

You seem to be saying through your analogy that the written text of the Bible is in some way on the same level as the spoken word of some person that claims to be an apostle or prophet.
The apostles are dead. The prophets are dead. Thankfully God had them write down everything He did through them in the Bible for us.

Ezekiel 25:17.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Isn't it odd that God gets worked up over the same things that the media gets worked up over? It's not odd at all, since the msm believes they are God, or at the least his older brothers and sisters who know better than he does and they have to correct him. Just ask Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Mary Mapes, Maureen Dowd, etc.

You are wrong about how I construe reality and The Bible.
You are wrong about prophets.
Thankfully, you live in an era wherein any month or year now, God will make the above abundantly clear for anyone with even a remote love for the truth.
