The world has always spurned the warnings of prophets. Nothing new here.
It's not just Terri Shiavo. That case got the media attention for a reason: to promote physician assisted suicide and euthanasia. Since the story is still warm it's a convenient vehicle for the larger message. Now the Schiavo story will soon be forgotten, just like so many other tragedies. Who remembers any one abortion? Who remembers the death of any one soldier? Outside their immediate family, probably nobody, really.
There is no such potential for reporting on religious persecution of Christians. That doesn't mean God does not hear their cries. When the "shaking and roaring" comes it will be because of all these abuses, and the article touches on some of them.

The Clearwater Bar Association is delighted with Judge Greer's performance in this particular case. They presented the John U. Bird award to the Pinellas-Pasco Circuit judge on May 15, 2004. This prestigious award, which is the Clearwater bar's highest honor for a judge, was granted to Judge Greer for the way he has handled himself while overseeing the Terri Schiavo case!
The "judicial competence" that Judge Greer has exhibited in his handling of the Terri Schiavo case is clearly the kind that ignores evidence and even Florida statutes in order to uphold Scientology doctrinewhich requires the deletion of "social contagions" (the disabled) from society. It is no coincidence that a Scientology attorneywho was a lead attorney in the Lisa McPherson casepersonally bestowed this award to Judge Greer. Greer's decisions to consistently rule in favor of terminating a disabled person do reflect high idealsin the sight of Scientology.
One of Scientology's major goals is to change society's views about death, dying, and those L. Ron Hubbard considered to be "past the half-way point": the disabled.
Scientologists believe (1) that a disabled person is in such a state due to his or her own failings, (2) the disabled person will deliberately move in the direction of death, and (3) disabled people (Individuals who score low on the emotional tone scale) will also bring death to those around them. (See L. Ron Hubbard's book, Self Analysis, chapter 4)
Scientology teaches that if a person is disabled it is his or her fault. Terri has been falsely represented as being disabled due to self-induced vomiting which supposedly caused a potassium imbalance that resulted in a cardiac arrest. Medical records have disproved these claims, but these "facts" were presented in the court record and are still being promulgated via the media today. The truth is that Terri suffered serious injuries, (including a head and neck injury and numerous broken bones). An exceptionally competent neurologist testified (that Michael Schiavo's attorneys predictably attempted to discredit) stated that Terri's injuries are consistent with strangulation:
Dr. William Hammesfahr, Nobel prize nominee and neurologist, testified that Terri's neck injuries are consistent with only one type of injury: that of strangulation.
CAN YOU SEE ANY "ROT" YET?
Hey, I don't want to believe it either, and I don't live in Florida.
That's a good link there. I had seen all these images, but never all in the same place. Thanks.
Of course Florida isn't the only state to be racked with these problems. It just seems that way, due to the high-profile child abduction/murder cases lately, and due to the Terri Schiavo murder.
The Florida DCF has had severe internal problems for a decade now, and no one seems to be doing anything about it.
The Florida hospices are owned and operated by shady, greedy characters. Thousands of elderly innocents are being starved to death in these hideous places.
When a state gets this rotten, look to the highest state suthority. That would be Governor Jeb Bush.
I hope he has no presidential aspirations, because true conservatives will shoot him down (metaphorically speaking) in a New York minute.
Whether its Terri Schiavo or Karla Fay Tucker, some people like their women in cages, The Almighty is behind it all, in this case Hes bundling the hypocrites (Matthew 13:30).
A truly insipid remark, unworthy of Free Republic.
YEP....just tryin' to be nice.
Spiritual murder! That sounds like a pretty serious accusation. That sounds like the work of a devil.
I don't believe the guilt is the conviction of Holy Spirit.
Goid knows your heart.
Praying was the most powerful thing you could do.
The die was cast.
It was fitting for all to do what fell to them to do.
But the die was cast. The evil forces and evil goals have been progressing as much by the will of the average citizen as by the demonic forces.
Millions of people have been choosing death over life. Terri was "merely" the punctuation, the exclamation point--in a very personal, human, public way--of such horrors.
Our time/space dimension has always been a somewhat encapsulated . . . sphere of a particular kind of free will, as it were.
With God's law of love etc. written on our hearts and satan removed from influencing . . . Live Abundant; Joy abundant will reign vs death.
That's plenty cause for rejoicing, imho.
I do believe that intelligence above a certain level affords a measure of free will in at least some respects, regardless--but what do I know. From God's perspective, lots of things must be different.
I would be causious about throwing rocks at God.
He does happen to be THE BOSS.
He has to be grieved . . . and at some point, wrathful to see our response to His Son and His priorities.
You might consider praying about wasting your fingers on some . . . critters and their pontifications.
Given your wisdom, I suspect there are much better recipients available for most of your gems of wisdom.
It's a lesson I'm slowly learning but trying to catch up on. LOL.
I think you have some very accurate insights.
Very well said, imho.
Methinks that proabably the rotten are not inclined to see rot even when the stench overwhelms their senses.
