Even though the secular environment in our society is increasingly hostile to Christianity, you are not faced with loss of job, imprisonment, or execution because of your faith. I'd like to think that the fact that I was born an American was an 'extra' blessing from God. But I think deep down I was born here because He knows that I wouldn't have the courage to stand up for Him anywhere else. Just a thought.

God doesn't lay out provision for our sin, because He already has provided the Son as payment for all sin.
Our destiny from our present position hinges upon our remaining obedient to Him through faith in Christ.
I suspect today's American Christian today simply has the opportunity to provide an anchor to the remainder of America to prevent the US from being annihilated by divine discipline. Our duty, even unrecognized, is simply to remain faithful in Him in all things.
There is no temptation too great than may be resisted through Him.

"He knows that I wouldn't have the courage to stand up for Him anywhere else." Perhaps He knows you're capable of a different type of courage or needs you for a different task. That's why He has you here.
Paul said, "I do not even examine myself." (1 Co 4:3) Don't measure yourself against others. Rest on the assurance that He has you in the right spot for His will to be performed through you.
