Vanity: The Democrats and the L.A. Times must be defeated!!
Vanity | October 6, 2003 | Jim Robinson

Edited on 10/06/2003 5:47:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

The Los Angeles Times and the Democrat corruption machine must be defeated!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!

This is bigger than Schwarzenegger vs McClintock, bigger than Republican vs Democrat, and even bigger than conservative vs liberal. This is for our American way of life vs the dark side. Not just for California, but for all of America. The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Yes, I'd rather have a more conservative person than Arnold for California, but sorry folks, looks like the numbers aren't there. And I'm unwilling to take chances on allowing Davis to slip out of the recall or, even worse, to allow Bustamante to win the governorship.

Crushing liberalism is what Free Republic is all about. Gray Davis being recalled by the (mostly Democrat) people of California has got to be one of the greatest defeats for liberalism in recent history. And the additional rejection by the same democrat electorate of the ultra-liberal, illegal-alien-loving, tax-them-till-they-die, Cruz Bustamante will be the coup de grâce!

The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism. The people of California are sending the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Democrat Party, and Bill & Hillary Clinton a great big rejection slip!

No thanks! Your liberalism, socialism, corruption and evil murderous programs are not welcome!

Send them your own personal message and slap in the face and one they cannot misinterpret and will not soon forget.

Terminate Gray Davis! Terminate Cruz Bustamante! And terminate the idiot Democrat Party and their complicit partners in crime, the Los Angeles Times, et al!

Vote Yes on Recall and vote Yes for the Terminator!!

Hillary, you now have a free ride to the White House, because the issue of character is going, going, gone!

No flame, Russell, but I see it as just the opposite. I see Hillary learning that dem dirty tricks won't work. If she thinks that sliming brought down Schwarzenegger, she will slime her way to next years dem nomination.

My Husband and I agree. As much as we prefer to vote for MCClintock, our votes will go to Arnold. The Democrats have gone too far. Clintons should have stayed out of it. Our votes are more against the Clintons than anything.

I will pray for Arnold and hope God touches his heart and he realizes Abortion is morally wrong. I wish every Pro Choice person would go into an Abortion Clinic, see what is being aborted than tell me they are Pro Choice. See the looks of the women before and after. They go in a daze and come out shattered. 8 times out of 10, it is a Man pushing to get the abortion. I think all abortions should be accompanied by the "Father". Let him also see the fruit of his loin being ripped into shreads. I'm sure sex would never be the same again for him. My apologies for getting off track.

You know, the left have made drug use/alcoholism and sexual misconduct a cottage industry. I can't recall the last time a liberal was booted out of office for misconduct.

I thought the Wall Street Journal said it very well today:

"...although conservatives think that character matters in public life, we have never bought into the idea that moral credibility is predicated on moral perfection.

If moral credibility were predicated on moral perfection, even our church pulpits would be silent. I'm sure liberals would not agree, but in my view, character has as much to do with how we handle our failings as the failings themselves."

(sorry to repeat that - thought it was an excellent come back to the leftists who think WE'RE being hypocritical)

You're giving the Times too much credit. The pattern in Rat races that they're desperate to win is to release a smear on the Thursday before election Tuesday. It almost worked with Bush and Gore.

I've been thinking aboput this all day. It does seem like the left wing media has declared all out war on conservatives.

I'm not sure what my response should be.

Good luck California.

I too am of the opinion that you will be better off with Schwarzenegger than Grayout or Bustamante.

Heck, a three-week-old ham sandwich would be better than Grayout or Bustamante.

Too bad about McClintock, but the numbers are just - not - there.

He got Asner on the phone to confront him about it. Asner acted like a condescending pompous jerk

Sean replays his show a couple times .. it happened about 30 minutes into his show

"The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism."

Yep I've seen it like this for quite the while. If the libs lose California it would be a major leaugue demoralizing blow to them and their agenda.

LA Times, SF Gate, NY Times, Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, Alan Colmes, Art Torres see a threat in Arnold. I see how Arnold is a major threat to them to. Mainly in the way that he can bring a huge amount of moderates over to the Republican side.

It seems like this is a case of half a loaf being better than none.

EXPECT major fraud, perhaps even an orchestrated terrrorist event to try and stop the freight train headed for Davis' administration. We need to keep ourselves aware of fraud and such tomorrow... poll watchers are in order... Davis will stop at nothing. Nothing.. and neither will his backers, the clintongs...

Losing California will be one of the most devastating blows in history to the democraptic liberal machine in AMERICA...

God will have mercy...
He is in the business of it.

God bless California.

Thanks for the link. It's a wonder that good conservative people enter politics AT ALL. Who wants to put their family through all this?

Since I'm a North Carolinian, I haven't gotten involved in the Arnold/Tom melee. I will be SO glad when this is over, and I hope you guys that have been pummeling each other will be able to let bygones be bygones and not hold a grudge either way.

One thing I would like to mention, though, is that we've all seen just how low down and dirty the Dems are. The unions are backing Davis. That's why I would advise all you California FReepers and your friends to NOT bring your young children with you when you go to the polls, if you can possibly avoid it. There's no telling what will happen tomorrow--lots of ugly things might be said or done outside of polling places that you wouldn't want your children to witness.
