If anyone can prove that there are more Conservatives voting for Arnold, than I am claimiong, please do so.

I'm here to prove that more conservatives should vote for Tom based on the ideal that he is the more conservative candidate. Ready for the proof: he's more conservative than (R)nold, and as such deserves the conservative vote. Shall I repeat it?

Now, the question is: why aren't more conservatives voting for Tom? Answer: maybe they aren't conservative to begin with. Your turn.

Read it carefully again. It's an argument against the "If Tom gets out now, he can be Senator later" argument.

You didn't answer my question and you invented one to answer. You didn't prove anything, with your post; it was just an opinion...I asked for statistical facts.

Is there a breakdown ( published ) of Arnold supporters ? I have read many articles covering the whys and wherefores of his supporters, but haven't seen a breakdown of their political beliefs.

OTOH, there have been published reports as to the breakdown, within the Cal GOP demographics, as to the numbers of Conservative. Since some of them are Tom supporters anyway, that still leaves those who are Conservative, moderate, and liberal GOPers PLUS the Dems and the indies, and the never before voters in the Arnold camp. Please reread my original post, should you decide to reply to this one. Thank you.

Why should ANYONE vote for a groper who calls Prop. 54 supporters 'right-wing crazies'? Unbelievable. This man is an arrogant leftist. By the way, did you support Clinton's impeachment and condemn his fondling ways? Arnold is a Republican Bill Clinton.

No, the liberals are playing you like a violin. Many in Hollywood -- such as Bud Yorkin -- will vote for Arnold and say (ha, ha) that they are Schwarzenegger Republicans. What a joke!!! You've been coopted and don't even realize it. When Arnold raises taxes, please stay around so I can laugh in your posting face, BigBobber.

The only sad people I see are the RINOs who vote for a rear-end-grabbing, groping Kennedy liberal. Go back and read your post. You're a rude person and nasty.

Define 'conservative'. That should do for the meantime.

You should also take a look at the leftist OC weekly's piece on "The Progressive Case for Governor McClintock."

Their argument is similar to the Arnold case among Republicans--he's not with us on the social issues, but he would return the state to fiscal sanity. People say he can't win Democratic votes, but I think that's very much not the case. A lot of leftists truly admire and will support a principled conservative.

I'm not completely immune to that arguement, but I still don't see those numbers showing up for him yet. I believe his core support is from conventional conservatives.

M2C,
Sorry bout that, thought yours was a reply to #147 not #146. Yeah, it would be hard to put Busty in if he dropped out. (kinda. he still gets the votes)

I didn't read #20 before posting. Probably had something to do with treating wife for migraine, cooking dinner, feeding the dog and watching tv while FReepin'.

I think we need someone who is as hardnosed as the dems for a leader and I don't think Arnold is it.

So are you still claiming that Arnold is the best candidate and that the possibilites that I posed (about something exactly like what's happening occuring) are McClintock supporters dreaming?

For god's sake Davis is so emboldened by this that he's calling for a CRIMINAL investigation into the allegations.

Regardless of whether you believe Arnold or not his credibility has been seriously damaged.

Let's hope this is true...McClintock can win and will implement conservative ideas that will turn California around

Ol' Sparky, I am praying today that many, many conservatives will realize that , with God's help, we can cross this Red Sea tomorrow, even though we see the " egyptians" coming behind us and seemingly gaining.

Arnold , when asked if he was dening these allegations, told Brokaw, "Not at all", " we will wait until I become Governor and THEN deal with it".......perhaps will be setting up a Bustamante reign after all!! He would be Lt. Governor and according to California law, would TAKE OVER if charges are made!!!!

Your posts do not even make sense. After Arnold wins tomorrow, I and other FReepers will no longer try to figure them out.

Given the choice between a so-called moderate Republican (Schwarzenegger) and a conservative Republican (McClintock), why would you not prefer a conservative Republican?

Beats me!! If Hillary had a "R" behind her name, how many of these " Conservative Christian, Right wing crazies" would vote for her too then?? I see it one and the same. I pray that tomorrow many will see what they are doing by compromising, and vote " PRINCIPLE".....we can, with God's help cross that SEA!!!!

You haven't the slightest idea how Schwarzenegger will perform in political office or what he will do. McClintock has a very clear record of supporting conservative legislation.

I think the past few days we are beginning to see just " how honest" Arnold will be as Governor.

When asked about the " gropping" in a interview with Tom Brokaw, he didn't deny the allegations. In FACT he said when asked if he was " saying the allegations were NOT true", he said " NOT AT ALL". " I will just wait until I become Governor and THEN deal with them". TOO LATE....BUSTAMANTE becomes acting Governor. !!!!!!

If Bustamante drops out, you will still vote for Schwarzenegger?

Absolutely. The conservatives who work with McClintock do not support him. He is obviously a self-centered egomaniac.

even while being stabbed in the back and demonized by the very ones he was helping.

What a martyr! He hasn't been stabbed in the back; he has shot himself in the foot.
