Bush beatable in 2004: former US president Bill Clinton

US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) will be given a run for his money by whichever Democrat ultimately emerges as the party's presidential nominee, former US President Bill Clinton (news - web sites) predicted at a campaign stop in the heartland state of Iowa.
"I get tired of people saying this field can't beat the incumbent president," Clinton said at a campaign event in Indianola, Iowa.
"When somebody tells you the people who are running for president aren't big, they just mean they aren't famous yet."
Clinton also accused Bush of mishandling the US-led war on terror.
"Instead of uniting the world, we alienated it," Clinton said. "Instead of uniting the country, he alienated it."
In his speech Saturday, Clinton said most US voters are unaware of how harmful Bush's tax cuts and other economic policies have been for domestic priorities.
"The American people, not 5 percent of them know they gave me a tax cut and then kicked children out of after-school programs," said Clinton, as thousands of loyal Democrats stood in the rain, waving red signs declaring: "Welcome Back Bill. We Miss You."
Clinton made his comments during a fundraising swing for the nine Democrats vying for the White House, one of his biggest political appearances since leaving office.
Seven of the nine candidates attended the event in the small central Iowa town. Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, and New York activist Al Sharpton did not attend.
The former president has become an increasingly visible presence during primary campaigning, with some candidates receiving weekly guidance on speeches and campaign strategy.
Clinton has said however that he has no plans to endorse a candidate for the White House during the primary campaign.

US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) will be given a run for his money by whichever Democrat ultimately emerges as the party's presidential nominee, former US President Bill Clinton (news - web sites) predicted at a campaign stop in the heartland state of Iowa. This is a true statement, although it has nothing to do with Iraq. The biggest problem Bush has is that same proplem all radical liberal Republicans have, even those that claim to be compassionate conservatives. After their base learns that "compassionate conservative" means be as radically liberal or more so than the Democrats they manage to convince their "base" to understand there isn't any point in even going to the polls.
Yes, Bush can lose. My guess is he doesn't care that much. Being President can be a difficult job.
I suppose I'll vote for him simply because there isn't any choice during the current war. It's a sorry state of affairs.

I thought Jimmuh Carter was a shameless self-promoter, but Bill Clinton tops old Jimmuh by a wide margin. So much for respecting the Presidency. The Democrats version of clueless and classless.

The Clinton's have been very visible this last week and are testing the waters.
They don't understand that half the people who are cheering for them are doing so because they miss the tawdry Jerry Springer-like details of their lives - not because they want them back in the White House.

Go back to Europe, Bill. You're not welcome here.

Hey SWEATHOG, why don't you go work on that 'man rack' you've got going on there, and once you've solved that hormonal dilemma come back for further advise...it'll have something to do with playing in traffic.
Today at work I overheard a big-bosomed (sp?), dehiscent, baby-boomer gal waxing orgasmic over his performance in Iowa, saying something like "I was watching bill clinton on tv over the weekend, and it was like he could say follow me to the moon and everyone would follow. My goodness what a charismatic man."
It took all my reserve not to ask her to 'pick two' ala Moe and continue....
I DESPISE THAT MAN LIKE 'EFFING POISON!

"When somebody tells you the people who are running for president aren't big, they just mean they aren't famous yet."
This is purely illustrative of X42's thinking.
The fact that they might bring some needed intelligence,
some political acumen, some reason to the office means nothing, only famousness, it's ALL about YOU isn't it.
Actually bill what it means is, that the 9 dwarfs
don't stand a chance against George W. Bush.

I will vote for him because he has done one hell of a job and because he will be the republican candidate. I will line up behind any republican who wins the nomination because there is no other alternative in any other party that even can come close. All the democrats have is National Socialism.
Been a republican all my life and if republicans cant get over this in fighting they may well become the minority party. Line up behind the party. The issues can be settled later within the party.

BTW, the liberal followers of the antiChrist will be the same way.
My guess is the wheat is being separated from the chaff right before our eyes.
The sheep of rightousness separated from the goats of liberalism.

Sorry Bill, it ain't gonna happen.
Bush is in far better shape than many think. Sure Bush's approval is down a little, but not like the sensationalist liberal media has portrayed it.
Still, let's not become complacent and everyone work hard for a Bush landslide. It could also impact the House and Senate.
Some sugguestions to help re-elect President Bush:
1. Donate to Bush-Cheney '04 re-election campaign.
http://www.georgewbush.com 2. Join the Republican National Committee.
http://www.rnc.org/ 3. Put a Bush 2004 bumper-sticker on your car, buy a Bush hat or t-shirt and wear it around. I get more complients and thumbs up on my Bush hat than anyone would believe. It shows grass root support.
http://www.georgewbushstore.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/scstore/bush_cheney_04_line.htm?L+scstore+qbgg9331+1063155855 4. Get involved with a your local Republican party and work the Bush campaign in 2004. Canvass, do literature drops, work a get out the vote phone bank.
5. Tell a relative, friend, or co-worker what a great job you think President Bush is doing.
6. Never back down from your beliefs!

I was wrong. I didn't think the Bent-One could demean the office as a former president more than he did while he occupied it. He'll probably beat the odds and live longer than arafat to boot....at least we can look forward to stomping his "wyfe" in an election some time soon.
Tell young people to become historians or publishers...there should be plenty of work for the next generation, his side desperately revising....the other in putting forth the facts about this scumbag.
