"rid his mansion of foppery..."

Love it. This writer is a student of H.L. Mencken. Fops is a great 1920s word and should be resurrected and smeared liberally on many politicians.

I heard Carter described as one of the greatest US presidents of all time...I must have missed something when he was in office. Yawn.

A Polish Jew teaches English to an American President holding a University diploma.

Indeed! This part Pole, Catholic, non-degreed American citizen who never heard it before understood it imediately. One of the few remaining credits I gave to the Plains man falls to the wayside.

That (the Gonzales flag) and the Gadsden (and the Culpepper Minutemen version!) are my two favorite flags!

"For quite some time I had respect for Jimmy Carter the man and the engineer, even though I didn't always agree with him. But ever since he became a lackey, a pawn, for the Clintonian Left just like John Glenn (the boyhood hero with feet of clay) and Walter Cronkhite, I've no use for him."

Carter was and still is a communist suck up. He is a weak kneed useless piece of crap who is in part responsible for some of the problems we face today.

It is time we stopped playing Carter's game. We need to let Israel defnd herself. Indeed, we need Dubya to come on TV and say, "The next time Hamas kills and American in an Israeli city 'by mistake,' we will have U.S. troops kicking in doors in Palestine, and we will make the OIsraelis look like gentle little lambs."

Did you hear Bibi on Sean Hannity the other day? He coyly said (paraphrased) "But we are just doing what President Bush said in his speech. We are out to attack the terrorists where they ARE so that they don't come here after us." How true. Why is that not Israel's right, if it is ours?

Carter railed, exasperation flaring in his steely, pale-blue eyes, "there can be no permanent military occupation of those conquered territories."

If a reportedly intelligent man, who came to become president, is this clueless about the plight of Israel, why are we surprised at the parade of clueless we deal with on this forum on a daily basis?

I am not Jewish but have an incredible admiration for the people of Isreal. In 2000 and 2001 I lived in Tel Aviv and worked in Caesarea. During my daily 35 minute commute I passed through Netanya twice per day. For those not familiar with Israel Netanya, a small seaside residential city, is second only to Jerusalem in terrorist bombings. This is because it is only about 8 or 9 miles from Palestinian West Bank territory. The real kicker is that it is a down hill 10 minute bike ride or 40 minute walk for terrorists. Think about a few land marks such as a school or mall that close to your home. Now ask yourself how well would you sleep tonight if you knew that there were terrorists that close to your home or how would you feel every morning when your children left for school. Carter and the other leftist Arafat apologists can go screw themselves!

Do you remember when the New York Times asked: Is Al Gore was "too smart" to be President?
