I celebrate with fireworks every August to commemorate the Battle of Lepanto, August, 1571.

The greatest battle in history (My personal opinion) destroyed the Moslem advance and reduced them to the miserable whining craven babykilling illiterate superstitious anti-Christian anti-Semitic Francophile sloppy smelly intolerant women-hating bunch they are today.

Happy Battle of Lepanto everyone!

I had to look up the Battle of Lepanto. Don Juan was an all right guy! I'll have to remember this. Thanks for the info.

We can also look forward to celebrating the Battle of Tours on October 10.

No, but more important than that, Sep 11 was a significant date for slamies. On September 12, 1683, during the battle of Vienna, Polish troops saved Vienna from the Turks thereby stopping their advance into Europe. From then onwards, the Turks were in retreat. http://www.iyp.org/polish/history/vienna.html

Long Live Poland!
