Let me know when the RINO Aunold is going to debate McClintock! There is only one candidate who has a solution to balance the budget and does so without raising taxes and/or fees. That person is TOM MCCLINTOCK! VOTE 4 MCCLINTOCK or suffer the consequences! http://www.tommcclintock.com

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
LOL!

As I posted on another thread:

I will admit that have not been as active in California politics over the years as I should have been, so that I do not know ALL of the players, and all of the internal politics.

But I **have** invested a rather large chunk of my life supporting WONDERFUL conservatives here who LOST. :(
There are probably MANY OTHERS that we could add to this list, but:
Bruce Herschensohn was a WONDERFUL conservative, and he lost.
Bill Simon was a WONDERFUL conservative, and he lost.
Tom McClintock is a WONDERFUL conservative, and...
Can see any kind of pattern here?
Fool me ONCE, shame on you.
Fool me TWICE, same on ME.

Let me know when the RINO Aunold is going to debate McClintock!
Unfortunately for you, for Tom, and perhaps for California, I predict that Arnold will pretty much IGNORE McClintock during the campaign.
If I were advising Arnold, I would have him frame this election as "Arnold vs. Gray."
If he debates ANYBODY, it will be Gray Davis, and THAT debate will beat "Dubya vs. Algore" and "Reagan vs. Carter" as the ULTIMATE in mis-underestimating your oppenent, if ol' eGray is stupid enough (or DESPERATE enough) to accept the challenge.
As for Arnold and Tom, my hope is that "Team Arnold" makes McClintock "an offer that he cannot refuse" - perhaps to be the "Budget Director" in his new administration - in exchange for a last-minute endorsement of Arnold.
One hopes. :o)

Bill Simon's first run was a complete embarrassment. The race was his to lose, and he certainly did everything he could to make that a reality.

No second chance for that candidate.

If Aunold is the only one who debates the Dimwit Davis then Aunold can bend over and kiss his behind good-bye. I have a 10 year old nephew who has better verbal skills than Aunold! Aunold sounds like a second grade reader on a broken record. McClintock is the only Republican who has the intelligence, credentials and experience to effectively debate the issues. Mac will mop up the canvas with the Dimwit and Aunold in any debate! PERIOD! VOTE 4 MCCLINTOCK or suffer the consequences! http://www.tommcclintock.com

Perhaps.
But remember how the "eloquent" Algore was predicted to trounce that "dimwit" George W. Bush...

...and how the "brainiac" Carter was predicted to devastate the "old senile" Ronald Reagan.

Ah-nuld may also surprise a LOT of people, maybe even ME. :o)

I voted for Simon last year, but not this year.

California gets a second chance, he doesn't.

We need to keep our eye on the prize. If Tom has a chance I am IN...if the polls have Arnold just barely ahead of Cruz (with Tom nowhere to be found) it will be Arnold for me.

As I have been saying for days, whoever is elected will have to turn this state around dramatically within 3 years. I find it very difficult to believe that a liberal RINO like Aunold will get the job done. And whoever is elected, if they don't get the job done the CA GOP will be hit like a pinata from the Dimwits in 2006 with "three years have gone by and things are worse than ever!" No one has any clue including Pete Wilson what Aunold's platform or solution to balance the budget is so I would keep my powder dry if I were you.

Howard Phillips, who was on Scarborough Country tonight, just reminded me that Simon flip-floped on abortion and gay issues in the last election. Howard Phillips is endorsing Tom McClintock. Pete Wilson was unable to answer what Aunold's position was on any substantive issue. You can run Aunold but you can't hide! Only 57 days 'til we DUMP DAVIS! VOTE 4 MCCLINTOCK or suffer the consequences! http://www.tommcclintock.com

Aunold played that old scheme of "I can't hear you" when asked on NBC today if he would release his tax returns. But he heard them tell him "good-bye"... ROFLMAO

The ONLY way for Bill Simon to EVER recover from his foolish actions will be to RESIGN from the race,

There is another way. He can win.

Simon will be lucky to come in 4th, among republicans in this race.

Simon is tied with liberal Arnold among Republicans in two polls right now. Arnold is at his peak and his numbers will begin to drop as the honeymoon wears off.

The ONLY way for Bill Simon to EVER recover from his foolish actions will be to RESIGN from the race, and publicly endorse Arnold as soon as humanly possible, IMHO.

Sorry to hear that Ron. I guess you and I are involved in politics for different reasons. ANYONE endorsing Liberal Arnold goes entirely against all of the values I hold dear.

Ah-nold is beating Bustamante by 10-15% in every poll and that's all that matters.

Don't forget, the replacement vote is a pluarity vote....winner takes all!

Yeah, as if California is going to elect Bill "Two-Time Loser" Simon!

He's so unpopular he couldn't even beat a guy we're throwing out of office. Ponder that for a minute, why don't you...

And all I can imagine about a Simon second-chance win is revisited and re-engergized accusations of "election stealing" ala Forida 2000 that will sure bring down the few Republicans left in office in California and completely destroy any chance Bush might have in 2004. Not to mention the second California recall in a row.

No thanks.
