Let's hope they're not taking guidance from the late government of Iraq, although it would be a boost for the industrial shredder industry...

Back in the 70's or early 80's, a serial killer was executed in Utah. They used the firing squad. I can't remember the guys name, but I do remember the execution made national news.

Nitrogen asphyxiation - the only way to die.
1 small mouth and nose covering masked hooked up to a nitrogen tank. Cheap, gas can be obtained and any oxy gas welding supply, Person goes to sleep, organs can still be donated, environmentally friendly.

You laugh - but one of the complaints used against the gas chamber is the use of cyinide (sp?) gas as it poisons the atmosphere.
To: Billthedrill
Not to be confused with Happy Gilmore. :)

Well, he seemed happy enough about it at the time, all things considered. His last words: "let's do it!"
And they did.

Did you read, Shot Through the Heart? It was a really interesting explanation of the Utah execution from one families perspective.
