I opted to not get them. I went for three consultations and in the end I just did not feel it was the right decision for me.

But, yeah, the doctors made it sound as though it were as routine as having your wisdom teeth taken out. But, we all know a price must be paid for all things--and I felt like the price might be too high in the end.

Also, I was under the assumption that you pay your five grand and that's it...Baywatch city..LOL. But they are not with out maintenance. He was talking women having larger implants replaced with smaller ones as the women age, getting lifts as they age, etc.

My ex-wife rec'd over $150,000 from the global class-action lawsuit against Dow-Corning and other Mfg's. Trust me when I say her lawyers coached her and manipulated all the doctors to provide her with the highest disease class possible, thus netting said lawyers with the greatest amount of money. I watched her and this process and am convinced it's predominantly a hyped scam concocted by lawyers.

Hardly an unbiased review from the beginning. And despite their rantings, there is no scientific evidence to support their allegations. Sometimes normally healthy people develope sicknesses ... cancer, diabetes, heart problems .... without warning. My wife became diabetic without being obese, and with no family history. Wouldn't it have been great if she had had a boob job ... we could sue for millions....

Dow's global class action has not been settled..none of them received money..what company implants did she have? There are other companies that manufactured implants..Dow filed bankruptcy BEFORE anyone was pd out..

Or rather the "right" to do with one's body seems considerably less bureaucratic if you just want to dump a fetus.

Interesting how many people, professionals, he and other plastic surgeons told their patients that the implants were safe, they'd never have to worry about their breasts again, they're completely safe, etc...but I guess they weren't joking because you can't worry NOW because you're a walking timebomb if you're still alive and each day you live in agony, pain, and whatever, but you're ALIVE in body only, and don't forget we didn't even talk about the meds and cost to try to stay alive from autoimmune problems..BTW, also had a stroke, thanks DOW!!

Look, I dont know your complete story, dont really want to BUT, even you have to admit, most women get breast implants simply because they want bigger boobs. I have to buy my bra's in the little girls section because I can rarely find them small enough in the 'womens' section, and you know what, its humiliating as hell. I grew up being taunted and picked on. Being called Flatso through highschool did wonders for my self esteem. But Im not paying to change my body because if I changed everything I thought was too big or too small I would be as plastic as Barbie.

She had two sets. The first were Dow. The second set, which produced the money were Surgitek. She is awaiting a possible settlement from Dow also.

I feel bad for you, but will tell you this, those kids in high school were only looking for the chics to romp in the sack with somewhere..Many of those guys in high school let the "small head" rule the "big head" and are losers anyway. Don't ever change your mind about getting implants or allow a dr to change it either because the price of our lives is far more impt than being called names by embeciles..Let me say this..your boobs shouldn't matter to a man who truly loves you because I'm sure you're a beautiful person inside out because the most precious gift you can have is your health. No amt of money can compensate you inplace of it either.

It sickens me to see these young girls/women getting implants..they're going to be in for wakeup calls soon, and probably already and don't realize it yet.

This is almost necessarily a one-sided thread, isn't it? The women would could do so are unlikely to post, "I had it done, I loved it, I've never had one problem." I've certainly heard and read that, but one doesn't have this surgery with the intent to then point out the fact to everyone, does one?
