The Teamsters need to dust off their old manuals on manure removal.

It is now illegal( up to $20,000 fine) to feed dolphin. Of course it is highly unlikely that dolphins will ever have the right to vote.

Some guy had dropped his pants and peed on a wall of the Thomas Paine Plaza.

In SF, they have a poop law for dogs. Your dog poops, you must scoop it up. But no poop pick-up law for people! They should at least make the bums pick up after themselves. Too bad they shut down all the mental institutions ---these people have no business being in public and exposing everyone to their filth.

Having said that, there are some who just don't have a clue how to be productive. I recently drove through an old state mental hospital --- they had shops and barns for them to work in, they at one time did a thriving business with tailor and upholstering, their barns and gardens made them pretty much self-sufficient. I imagine it was a weird place to live in especially if you were locked up against your will and didn't need to be which I'm sure sometimes happened. They need something for at least some of the mentally ill like that again.

Visiting Boston last year, we happened to walk past an empty office block (apparently some fans leaving the Red Sox game had used the area to relieve their bladders). My wife commented: "smells like Philadelphia".

Remind me again why you folks like to live in big cities?

Well, I can see Philly hasn't changed a bit since I went to school there. I can remember walking down the street to go to class, and see empty crack vials, condoms, and human excrement. It was always refreshing to hear shots fired, as I studied through the night. Sarcasm/off . The only redeeming thing about Philly is Pat's Cheesesteaks. NOTHING ELSE. Maybe if they had a Mayor like Giuliani that gave a damn, that city would be better. In the meantime, you could give me the finest house in Society Hill for free, and I still wouldn't live there. It's just a damned shame that the city that was once the Birthplace of Independence, and the United States Marine Corps, has degraded into such a cesspool.
