It'll likely be Dean and Clark.

And I honestly think Dean may just pull off the win. He's a lot stronger than people think.

"Why Kerry/McCain?"

(1) McCain hates Bush immensely, (2) McCain is a traitor to the Republican Party and all it's supposed to stand for. If he could do anything, anything at all to hurt Bush, he'd do it. Just my guess. I still feel McCain will bolt to the dolts.

Hillary will not run in 2004...book it, write it in ink. She will not run in 2004. The nominee will likely be Kerry. As for his running mate, I say it will be Bob Graham.

You're wrong. Hillary's negatives don't have time to recover by then. The ticket is very likely to be:

Kerry/Dean

And neither will be terribly thrilled about the match.

A lot of liberals think that Dean is President Bartlett and thus are all fired up. Nobody is fired up over Lieberman, Kerry, Graham, or Gephardt. Dean has to split the liberal vote with Sharpton for short while. But Kerry, Lieberman, Graham, and Gephardt have to split the "moderates". I think Dean has a good shot at the nomination and his only real choice for VP is Clark to get that "military" scent.

But I don't think Dean is going to win the whole thing unless something drastic happens. The Bush folks can scare the daylights out of the South and West about Dean.

The ticket of Dean/Clark will be nominated at the Convention. However, as a result of an act of domestic terrorism which will be blamed on GWB, the ticket will be "bumped off." (Think Arkanacide) Then, the savior of the party Ms. Hillary Rodham Clinton steps into the breach along with running mate Bob Graham.

Many of you seem to think Hillary is going to watch from the sideline?.... hmmm Have you forgotten how the Clinton's think? and how they operate?

Do you think they only had Republican FBI files? Watch these guys drop out if they get close to capturing the nomination...and if Dean looks like he "might" win... hmmm accidents do seem happen when the Clinton's are involved...

Clinton /Edwards...

Clinton will head the top of the ticket, but only after a brokered Convention. She sure isn't going to get into the fray and have to answer any straightforward questions on any camaign trail.

Edwards is the perfect match. He is a boyish-looking, Camelot-appearing lightweight who won't give her any trouble in the #2 spot, will "represent" the South, and bring in scads of money from the trial lawyers.

As for Mousely Clark, he is a stalking horse to keep some amount of support "uncommitted" *wink, wink* and be first in line for SecDef as his reward. He and Edwards will throw their support to the Hildabeast at a critical moment in the power-brokering process.

If either Kerry or Dean get the nomination (which I think is likely -- the press seems to like both), their running mate will have to be a Southerner unless they are suicidal (which they very well may be, since they are running out of genuine liberal Southerners that would appeal to either of these guys and the drum beat for Hillary will be loud). No black Democrat will be on the ticket because they are unelectable (the first black vice president will be a Republican -- white voters will not trust a black Democrat). A Hispanic might be possible, though this may backfire in areas with immigration problems, bringing in Hispanic voters but turning off whites and other groups.

It is possible that Democrats will try to widen the "gender gap" and try to win via the women's vote, since security and military-minded men are probably a write-off at this point. They could try the female vice president route again, picking a Southern woman instead of a New Yorker (that was a big mistake -- short-haired New York women won't play well down South -- they will be pressured to consider Hillary but that would be a big mistake). They probably won't pick a woman from Texas (they will write Texas off) or California (no Democrat in California will be popular, especially if the recalls succeeds and if they need a ringer to win California, they are dead, anyway), unless the woman is a celebrity (if Schwarzenegger does well, they might try that route, though getting gravitas and a woman that men will vote for may be a problem). So, if I had to guess right now, I might say Kerry and Mary Landrieu or, if he sticks with a man for VP, Bob Graham to try to get Florida back.

John Kerry & Mark Warner (Gov of VA)

The establishment will get behind Kerry in response to the challenge from Dean. He'll pick Warner as a token to the South and try to sweep everything from Virginia north (yeah, good luck with that), add the Left Coast for 212 electoral votes total, then fight it out in the industrial mid-west (taking Illinois, conceding Indiana, 75 up for grabs) and AZ-NM (15).

He needs to add MI-WI-IA-NM to get to 272, but again, that is supposing Warner can help carry Virginia.

Dean - Hillary

Unless the "scandal" stays around or Iraq gets worst. Then Hillary - Clark, as the original post said.

I don't see that as a frightening prospect. Clark didn't exactly run that NATO war in Kosovo well, and think of the intelligence failures there!! They hit the Chinese Embassy!!! And a lot of other "mistaken" targets, many of them tragic.
Ask him to explain that!

Negatives??? do you think the Clinton's can't handle "NEGATIVES" in the "RAT" merry go round? There are many more RAT negatives with KERRY than CLINTON... the RAT Rank and file LOVE Hillary.
