But didn't you see his disclaimer?

We are and always have been nonpartisan. We've never endorsed a candidate for public office or a political party, and we never will. But being nonpartisan doesn't mean being non-critical. And it doesn't even mean criticizing all parties equally. If the Democrats were doing anything, we'd criticize them too.

I guess if you SAY you are non-partisan, you must be.

That was the gist of the discussion on Scarborough's show Monday night. I insist that by him saying that on the heels of his venom, he knew that he had crossed the line -- this was his way of trying to say "But it's OK, 'cause we're 'the good guys' and they are 'the bad guys'; we support good guys equally."

He screwed up and he knew it. He knows that many of us will finally start to call him on it in the mainstream press now. Notice that similar things have been said in the past by Bond, and no one was the wiser. You'd hear something on Rush's show and that was the end of it. But now, you've got other outlets from Sean Hannity's radio and television shows to Joe Scarborough's show, to FR, to FNC. Add to that the increasing numbers of us in the black community who are fed up with the constant carping and backbiting.
