E.D.M. ARMS JOINS BARRETT AGAINST .50 BAN

E.D.M. Arms, California's only producer of .50 caliber rifles, weighs in on the .50 Caliber Rifle Ban, AB50. In a poignant letter, Bill Ritchie, owner of E.D.M. Arms, appeals to the sensibilities of California's lawmakers:

"...[I]f proposed bill AB-50 passes into law, I will be forced to relocate my facility outside of the state of California. The taxpaying citizens who work for me would become unemployed and the companies we patronize would lose a high-volume and reptuable client. The state would lose a tremendous stream of tax revenue and another California building would stand vacant. I'm sure you will agree, driving prosperous companies out of the state is no way to deal with a horrific budget crisis..."

Ronnie Barrett raises the bar in his stand against California's anti-gun agenda with a new letter, this time to CA State Senator McPherson...

"...If California were to ban the sale of the Barrett .50 cal rifle we will stop the sale and service of all Barrett products to all State Law Enforcement agencies of the state of California immediately and ask all small arms manufactures to consider similar action. Re-classify the .50 cal rifle and you align yourself and the State of California as being part of the very terrorists who are attempting to destroy this great nation of ours..."

Bravo! Finally - someone who realizes who REALLY threatens our freedoms - and they're not wearing turbans.

The Democrats at all levels of government in California want to "terminate with extreme prejudice", any .50Cal firearm. It doesn't matter that none have been involved in a crime or lethal accident. From city councilwomen to the gubernatorial candidates, they think this issue will play well in from Beverly Hills to Marin County. This isn't a gun issue. This is an election issue with fund raising overtones.

It's about time that ALL firearms makers tell the jackboots of this country, "You want to ban us, fine. We will not sell you weapons. We will not sell you spare parts. We will not repair your existing weapons. Anything that we can't sell to the average citizen, you don't get any of it either."

Same for the ammunition makers.

<Sacrasm> But, but, just look at that thing! It's so, so, evil looking! And, and it can't possibly have any legitimate hunting purpose! And, and, why would anyone need one of those things anyway? </Sarcasm>

I've never shot one in real life, but in Black Hawk Down that thing is an absolute beauty. :)

That'll never happen as long as companies like Glock and HK get huge revenues from military and law enforcement contracts.
