Thanks for the ping and the post.

The timing or this, Labor Day 2004, is superb. This will put the matter of Illegals, and the bipartisan complicity allowing them to colonize this country, front and center as Campaign 2004 kicks off.

Despite my disappointment in his do-nothing approach to Illegals, I'd be voting for President Bush if the election was held today. However, while he's an Amnesty away from losing my vote, I've been reluctant to bet against Bush's re-election, because I just wasn't certain that there would be sufficient outrage about Illegals to threaten his candidacy.

Now we have this Million American March in the mix. Of course the press will try to pretend that it's only whate racists who have a problem with Illegals, to impact the polls that consistently show that sentiment against Illegals cuts across racial demographics. If the MAM picks up the steam and "diversity" that I think it might, Bush would be taking a foolish risk if he resumes his attempts for various Amnesties before Election Day.

The Million American March could change everything. Very intriguing.

He'll wait for his second term - if he's reelected.

Just refuse to allow them to put the racist tag on it. We are Americans with a duty to our Constitution, country, and fellow Americans, not to allow marxist voters free reign in this country over running our votes.

If they allow them to enter, they eventually will allow them to vote. Efforts are already being made in fact.

I vaguely remember in the 80's there being a march in Chicago of over 100,000 people on some conservative issue that went unreported by the news media. It was refered to as the parade that never happened. We can't allow the same thing to happen this time. Advertisment is the key.

You're 1000% right. What can be done to counteract the inevitable? If the likes of Michelle Malkin participate it will more difficult for the press to lie.

Well, the simple solution to that is make sure pissed off LEGAL AMERICAN CITZENS of ALL RACES AND ETHNICITIES are at that march, front and center! We're got plenty of black, hispanic, asian, indian, and white freepers equally angry at the government's pandering to ILLEGAL aliens.

Not to mention many of have ancestors, in-laws, spouces, and close friends that aren't exactly white...

Give us Michelle Malkin as keynote speaker. Let 'em the RINOs and Democrats TRY to play the race card with that one!

"The standard of citizenship of a nation are its most precious possessions, and the preservation and the elevation of those standards is the first duty of our government. The immigration policy of the United States should be such as to insure that the number of foreigners in the country at any one time shall not exceed that which can be assimilated with reasonable rapidity, and to favor immigrants whose standards are similar to ours…a more complete exclusion of mental defectives and of criminals, and a more effective inspection applied as near the source of immigration as possible, as well as at the port of entry. Justice to the foreigner and to ourselves demands provision for the guidance, protection and better economic distribution of our alien population. To facilitate government supervision, all aliens should be required to register annually until they become naturalized. No alien should become a citizen until he has become genuinely American, and adequate tests for determining the alien's fitness for American citizenship should be provided for by law. "

I was afraid for a while he might try this, but I think Amnesty for any illegals is off the radar for now. No Dem is going to push for it either. It would be the STUPIDIST think any pol could try, in the current atmosphere.

And how about Cali? Maybe the huge number of illegals are helping to push that state into the Fiscal Ocean.
