Didnt the SCOTUS rule that same sex sexual harassment wasnt really sexual harassment not too many years ago? I swore that I read this somewhere, and that the female justices were the only ones who dissented. This would seem very hypocritical, coming from the same SCOTUS. I could be wrong tho, does anyone else remember this? Just wondering...JFK

Don't make too much of this. All they are going to do is revisit the sentence. The kid will not go unpunished. THe punishment will simply be set in line with other similar consensual acts regardless of the gender of the participants. This actually makes sense.

"Ignore MineralMan. He *says* he's married from somewhere near SF and is profaggot. "
I am married and I am from a town near SF. I'm not "Profaggot" whatever that means. I'm against 17 year sentences for 18-year-olds who engage in that activity. It's excessive.
Now, go back to your gay chat rooms.

At least in prison he wouldn't have been preying on 14 year olds.

"Matthew Limon was one week past his 18th birthday in early 2000 when he performed oral sex on a 14-year-old boy at the center for developmentally disabled young people where they both lived. No violence or coercion was involved." Separately, the 6 month old girl penetrated by the babysitter with a broom handle was similarly set free. "No violence or coercion was involved."

"OK, by some definitions Fresno is 'near' SF. So is the Freeper staff now in danger of being called 'profaggot' "
And they probably claim to be "married" too. The horror.

Actually, if the culprit had been 17 there wouldnt have been a crime. By being one week past 18 this became statutory rape.

You know, you seem to be the one obsessed.
Polk Street? Your kind of area? Lots of married men visit there.

"Polk Street? Your kind of area? Lots of married men visit there."
Your insinuations are specious, offensive, and unwarranted.

The homosexual agenda has been pushing for a norming of the age of consent laws (more vocally in England than in America). I said this as soon as the Supreme Court took the case. I was told by some troll defenders that I was throwing out a strawman argument.
Incrementalism is the liberal way.
I've always said that this will not end with "consenting adults". Adults and minors (who have reached age of consent or are near the age of consent...) will be engaging in homosexual sodomy.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It! It's terrible! If you don't agree that it's terrible, then you must be one of them evil queers! (/sarcasm)

This sh!t is really getting out of hand.
I'm not aware of a single 2nd amendment conviction that those fools in black have overturned, yet they have no problems vacating the conviction of some perverted fudgepacker preying on young children.
Unfreaking believable.

Let's eliminate age of consent laws altogether. They are not uniform from state to state and nothing magically changes from 17 years 363 days to 18 years.
Let's do away with the drinking age too. A 20 year old is violating the law but on his 21st birthday he can get hammered.
The koran specifies that brides don't even need to have reached the age of puberty. There is also no prohibition on sex with one's wife regardless of age.

The reason I ask was that I seem to remember that the vote went down along gender lines, and I found myself agreeing with the women, who were the dissenters and ultimately, losers. Any idea on how I could find this information? Any help would be appreciated...JFK

Adults and minors (who have reached age of consent or are near the age of consent...) will be engaging in homosexual sodomy. Just a guess ... but I think this is probably happening almost every day in almost every community in America regardless of this decision.
