[history]
THREE decades after being sent to prison for trying to assassinate President Gerald Ford, Charles Manson disciple Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme has found love - with a lesbian serial killer.
Kristen Gilbert, a former Northampton, Mass., veterans affairs nurse, was convicted in 2001 of poisoning four patients in her care. Now she is said to be carrying on a caged-heat affair with none other than Manson's former groupie Fromme.

Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme has found love - with a lesbian serial killer. Hmmm, sounds like a nice girl. In any case, I seriously doubt either of them are getting out any time soon.

I suppose we can look foreward to the movie on Lifetime? Who will play "Squeaky"? ( How do you get a name like "Squeaky" anyway? I'm reluctant to speculate! ) Who will play Kristin?
The mind boggles.

I have always thought it extremely interesting that if one kills a public official, there's a rather quick death sentence served. If one atempts to kill a pulic official, there's something equivalent to actual life in prison. If one kills a child or an uninterested bystander to a holdup or a wife, it's 15 years with time off, and if you wound the same, you might get probation. I am sure that this is very scientific and all. It just gives the appearance that lawmakers see the benefits of harsh punishment only when it affects their crowd.

The story goes that Manson named her "Squeaky" because of her high-pitched voice.

Ping.

These relationships rarely work out. Too many arguments that end up with one partner assassinating or poisoning the other.

What nonsense, there are few killers or attempted killers of public officials. Talk about an ill-thought out comment.

Fromme is to be released from the Carswell, Texas, federal prison for women......... This week, Seems to me, this is the more important story.

Very old photo of Squeaky (Born 1948), but the newer ones aren't good enough quality to post.

Lynette Fromme tried to kill the brother of my Tae Kwon Do instructor back in the early 70's, she slit his throat with a broken bottle from behind.
He knocked her out, had her arrested, and it was 2 years later or so she tried to kill Ford.
She was certainly a whacko!
To: Woodman
I've never had a cult of teenage girls cheering for me when I go to court. How do I get one started? They don't even need to kill anybody.
To: Excuse_My_Bellicosity
Fromme is due to be released in 2005.

When and where is the H'weirdo movie? H'weirdo has several ingredients that they love to make into a movie: (1) criminals with high profile names, (2) queer love, (3) women, (4) one's in and one will be out of jail.

Thanks for your clever and charming reply. Off hand, I can think of Oswald, Hinckley, Tim McVeigh, Sarah Moore, Squeeky, and Sirhan Sirhan. Which ones of these do you consider to have received a light sentence?

Those are about the only ones out of the MILLIONS imprisoned. How would you come to the conclusion that I believe any of them received too light sentences?

Well I somehow got the idea when I was told how ill thought out my response was when I simply stated that people attempting harm on public officials are treated more harshly than other murderers or attempted murderers. I guess you're just too sophisticated for me.

Practicing the Dowd method of quoting text, eh :-) No, not especailly...I just thought it was interesting how the author dropped that little nugget of information, while maintaining that who she sleeps with was more important that an assasin (albeit a failed one) is being released.
