A history professor of mine, a rare academic conservative, knows a couple who has been active in conservative circles. The wife, incidentally, was not always a conservative: early on, this product of the East Coast once told her husband that he was the first Republican she had ever known.

Thankfully, her husband's influence turned her into a conservative, and she did some work for Judicial Watch a while back. She tried to speak with a number of women who were allegedly raped by Clinton. Not one of the women would talk to her -- they were too scared of what might happen to them if they spoke up.

Christopher Hitchens, in his book No One Left to Lie To, attempted to speak to a number of women who he had reason to believe had been assaulted and raped by Bill Clinton. Most of them wouldn't speak to him, and those who did insisted on anonymity. Some of the details they gave fit spot-on with the modus operandi of traditional sexual psychopaths.

I have no way of knowing for sure, but I frankly tend to belive Ms. Broaddrick, considering the information that I have been privy to.

Be sure, be sure, to watch Hannity tonight.

"Juanita Broddrick discusses her own alleged encounter..?" For heaven's sake, she has stated on national television that she was raped by Clinton, and he has never denied it. Even at Fox, people cringe from facing facts as horrible as this. What will be important about this interview is the Hillary content, and the testimony that Hillary came to Broddrick to thank her for "what she had done." The whole point of Hillary's book is to make her seem a normal put-upon wife who struggled to save her marriage. She knows very well that the image of a calculating woman who was indifferent to her husband's flagrant and humiliating in-your-face behavior over decades, and stayed with it for the power, is no sale to the voting public.

Everything about Juanita's story that could be checked out, checks out. As a convincing witness, she was far easier to believe than Paula Jones. I don't see how a liberal with any conscience could say Brodderick was lying.

JB has her own bone to pick with Hillary, and Hillary's been in the news. I'll be watching H&C tonight.

I had the priviledge of meeting and spending a weekend with Mrs. Broderick and several other freepers a while back. There is no doubt in my mind that her accusations are true.

For this, I will turn on a tv set tonight. Thanks for the heads-up.

Is this Really Rape?

Juanita Broaddrick said on worldwide TV last night that she was "raped" by now President Clinton some time in 1978. (She says she does not remember the date or even the month.)

Here are excerpts of what she said:

Juanita Broaddrick appears on MSNBC

"I first pushed him away and just told him, No, please don't do that ... I said, I'm married, and I have other things going on in my life, and this is something that I'm not interested in."

"...I tried to get away from him and I told him, No, that I didn't want this to happen, but he wouldn't listen to me."

Here is the relevant part of her statement in full:

Myers: "Did you have qualms at all about him coming to the room?"

Order Monica's Story
Broaddrick: "I was a little bit uneasy. But, I felt, ah, a real friendship toward this man and I didn't really feel any, um any danger in him coming to my room. I sort of ushered us over to the coffee — I had coffee sitting on a little table over there by the window and it was a real pretty window view that looked down at the river. And he came around me and sort of put his arm over my shoulder to point to this little building and he said he was real interested if he became governor to restore that little building and then all of a sudden, he turned me around and started kissing me. And that was a real shock."

Myers: "What did you do?"

Broaddrick: "I first pushed him away and just told him 'No, please don't do that," and I forget, it's been 21 years, Lisa, and I forget exactly what he was saying. It seems like he was making statements that would relate to 'Did you not know why I was coming up here?' and I told him at the time, I said, 'I'm married, and I have other things going on in my life, and this is something that I'm not interested in.'"

Myers: "Had you, that morning, or any other time, given him any reason to believe you might be receptive?"

Broaddrick: "No. None. None whatsoever."

Myers: "Then what happens?"

Broaddrick: "Then he tries to kiss me again. And the second time he tries to kiss me he starts biting my lip (she cries). Just a minute... He starts to, um, bite on my top lip and I tried to pull away from him. (crying) And then he forces me down on the bed. And I just was very frightened, and I tried to get away from him and I told him 'No,' that I didn't want this to happen (crying) but he wouldn't listen to me."

Myers: "Did you resist, did you tell him to stop?"

Broaddrick: "Yes, I told him 'Please don't.' He was such a different person at that moment, he was just a vicious awful person."

Myers: "You said there was a point at which you stopped resisting?"

Broaddrick: "Yeah."

Myers: "Why?"

Broaddrick: "It was a real panicky, panicky situation. I was even to the point where I was getting very noisy, you know, yelling to 'Please stop.' And that's when he pressed down on my right shoulder and he would bite my lip."

Broaddrick also says the waist of her skirt and her pantyhose were torn.

Juanita Broaddrick: "When everything was over with, he got up and straightened himself, and I was crying at the moment and he walks to the door, and calmly puts on his sunglasses. And before he goes out the door he says 'You better get some ice on that.' And he turned and went out the door."

Myers: "On your lip?"

Broaddrick: "Yeah."

Broaddrick estimates Clinton was in her room less than 30 minutes.

Myers: "Is there any way at all that Bill Clinton could have thought that this was consensual?"

Broaddrick: "No. Not with what I told him, and with how I tried to push him away. It was not consensual."

Myers: "You're saying that Bill Clinton sexually assaulted you, that he raped you."

Broaddrick: "Yes."

Myers: "And there is no doubt in your mind that that's what happened?"

Broaddrick: "No doubt whatsoever."

There are vast differences of opinion on what constitutes rape. Men and Women are especially polarized on this issue. Some women say that there must be virtually a written contract or agreement to have sex. Otherwise, it is rape. Few men agree with this.

This is also a political issue. At one time, a marriage contract was considered to give the man the right to have sexual intercourse with his wife any time he wanted. Nowadays, this is no longer true.

The oldest body of law still in use on this issue is the Bible. Here is What the Bible says (Deuteronomy 22:22-29):

22 If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her,

24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death--the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

25 But if out in the country a man happens to meet a girl pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die.

26 Do nothing to the girl; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders his neighbor,

27 for the man found the girl out in the country, and though the betrothed girl screamed, there was no one to rescue her.

28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,

29 he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Here is the Law of the State of Arkansas:

Rape as Defined in Arkansas.

§ 5-14-103. Rape.

(a) A person commits rape if he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person:

(1) By forcible compulsion; or

(2) Not his spouse, who is a patient or resident of a hospital, nursing home, human development center, or other similar facility, and who is incapable of consent because he is mentally defective or mentally incapacitated; or

(3) Who is incapable of consent because he is physically helpless; or

(4) Who is less than fourteen (14) years of age. It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under this subdivision (a)(4) that the actor was not more than two (2) years older than the victim; or

(5) Not his spouse who is less than sixteen (16) years of age and who is incapable of consent because he is mentally defective or mentally incapacitated.

(b) Rape is a Class Y felony.

§ 5-14-104. Carnal abuse in the first degree.

(a) A person commits carnal abuse in the first degree if, being under the age of eighteen (18) years, he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person not his spouse who is less than fourteen (14) years old. It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under this subsection that the actor was not more than two (2) years older than the victim.

(b) Carnal abuse in the first degree is a Class A felony.

§ 5-14-105. Carnal abuse in the second degree.

(a) A person commits carnal abuse in the second degree if he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person not his spouse who is incapable of consent because he is mentally defective or mentally incapacitated.

(b) Carnal abuse in the second degree is a Class C felony.

§ 5-14-106. Carnal abuse in the third degree.

(a) A person commits carnal abuse in the third degree if, being twenty (20) years old or older, he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person not his spouse who is less than sixteen (16) years old.

(b) Carnal abuse in the third degree is a Class D felony.

§ 5-14-107. Sexual misconduct.

(a) A person commits sexual misconduct if he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person not his spouse who is less than sixteen (16) years old.

(b) Sexual misconduct is a Class A misdemeanor.

None of this is very helpful. "Forcible compulsion" is not defined. There are many judicial opinions on this, but there are probably as many opinions as there have ever been judges.

What is my own view? I do not really have one. If I had one, I would not say it. However, there is an old joke: "If a woman says no, she means maybe. If a woman says maybe, she says yes."

In my personal experience, if a woman says "I am married and how could I ever do such a thing?", what she often really means is: Do I object to having sexual intercourse with a married woman? Some men do object. She needs to be reassured that it is ok. Then, she discovers that she could do such a thing, and she does it!

Sometimes, the woman does not mean that at all. She really means that as a married woman she does not do that. It is all in her tone of voice.

In other words, some times when a woman says she is married, it is a come on. Other times, it is intended as a turn off.

Similarly, if a woman pushes the man away, it is a gentle nudge or a serious push? From the statement of Juanita Broaddrick, it appears that she did not push very hard, but perhaps she did. Only the two people who were present really know.

In my experience, if a woman says, "You can come to my place but don't expect anything because you can't f--- me", 100% of the time it turns out that she does f--- me.

I am hoping to run for president some day and then my political opponents can search out Miki Motegi, Hiroko Nakama, Apolonaria Honculada and Passion Julinsey and ask them what they think of me.

I believe Juanita. The details are too precise and unusual to have been made up, in all liklihood. Plus, there were a couple of witnesses who can attest to her immediate outcry, as well as her highly charged emotional state. Plus, what does she get from making this allegation? Plus, it is a given that BC is a sociopath and a pig.

BUT, as I recall, she had some friendly communication with BC afterward, which somewhat calls her credibility into question. That seems to be the only negative.

BTW, is it my imagination or was post # 7 the most pointless ever?

That is really a good question. I have seen it spelled both "Broddrick" and "Broaddrick" in usually dependable publications. I had questions about this myself -- I am normally very picky about spelling -- but I looked around and I can't figure this one out. It would appear that some people have picked up a wrong spelling and have run with it.

Personally, I believe it is probably spelled "Broaddrick," but I could be wrong about that. We will see how they spell it tonight on Hannity.

No, it was not your imagination that post #7 was pointless. I think it is downright insulting to Juanita B. and any woman that has been raped. What the hell do all those links have to do with rape? I have never seen Juanita B. interviewed and will judge for myself tonight when I do watch the interview. By the way when a woman says NO...it means NO!

O'Reilly just spoke with two women professors, and this Elizabeth Sherman, Phd. from the Kennedy Center in Boston was a piece of work. The other woman was more fair, from American University, but relegated Juanita to the "old news" category. The Sherman woman, though mature in age, was juvenile in demeanor with her sighs and intonations as she spoke to O'Reilly, ending her comments with "it speaks to Fox News' agenda to have Juanita Broaddrick on". O'Reilly pointed out he was having her on, "Madame". She was revolting.

Mary Ann Marsh is on now and actually sounding calm, professional and level-headed, even though we know her as a dem strategist.
