Two of Jesse Jackson's sons run a beer company?
Just to back up "ravingnutter", I remember Timmerman mentioning that
Jesse's family had a lucrative beer distribution franchise...just part of the empire.
"Can I get an AMEN!" as Jesse would hollar!

AMEN!
Thnnk you very much, lainie.
Just to throw a bit more gasoline on this fire...
A few weeks ago, the talk-show host team of "Conway and Steckler" on 97.1 FM
here in Los Angeles was playing clips of Jesse's speech for (IIRC) a
high school commencement in the Chicago-land area.
The point of the exercise was to play the audio snippets repeatedly and have
callers try to guess what exactly it was that Jesse was saying.
I about broke ribs laughing at some of Jesse's mangling of English/"American"
in some of the clips. Honestly, I grew up basically in the integrated South and
thought I usually could hold my own in deciphering the slang that my black classmates
would toss around.
But I guess it was a poor preparation for "Jesse's Own Urban Chicago Black" dialect.
This is the sort of incredible thing talk radio can get away with in liberal enclaves
like Los Angeles. If this had been done in some place like Dallas or
other "Confederate" states, there would have been riots.
By the way "Conway" of "Conway and Stckler" is Tim Conway's son. These two guys
have had their show for at least four or five years.
PS: I felt very proud of myself when I recognized the term "Pan-Hellenic" in "Jesse-Speak".
