Seriously, far too much power has devolved to committee boards from the actual congressional entity. This is how the Democrats are allowed to wield influence from the minority position. Judicial nomination stalling, porking and allowing third-world conditions to proliferate are the hallmarks of the Democratic Party. Byrd and Kennedy have to go.

Republicans need to get a good high profile candidtate lined up to unseat Byrd in 2006. He seems to be going senile.

I still believe a compelling case connecting Iraq and Al Qaeda was made to Congress behind closed doors. The Dems have been banking on certain information not being made public. Sometime between now and 2004, that information will make it's way into the public domain. When it does, the Democrat party as we know it will no longer exist.

I fully expect that we will find Saddam's weapons a few days after the Democratic Convention this fall. Right when they are expecting the poll numbers for their candidate to rise, Bush will be going through the roof instead.

I hope that until then, every possible Democratic leader gets on the record, attacking Bush over WMD's, so he can take them all down at the same time like it was Godfather2 all over again.

You know, this sounds strange, but here it goes. I do remember that at first, Mr. Byrd didn't seem so hostile to GWB! I'm going back and forth between theories. One of them says that after impeachment, someone did something to Mr. Byrd.

He's an old man, I know. But I'm wondering if he has health problems, or something in his past haunting him. And the "powers that be" at the top of the Dem party know it, and are propping him up; and putting him up to this behavior.

The other one is that could it be possible that he's acting this way, and being so obnoxious, in order to keep a lib Dem. from winning? Maybe he's pretending to go along with the 'upper crust', in order to keep them from pressuring him? Maybe he's trying to keep the Clinton's(by Hillary) from getting in again. And supposing he's secretly going along with the Bush Administration, so he's being really obnoxious in order to embarrass the DNC?

It's funny, but my Mom said something one time that tickled me. She said that Mr. Byrd was "just an 'old Democrat'. She said it as if she knew how they could be! She probably knew some 'old Democrats' in the past among family members or acquaintances! But it was sure cute how she said it, so knowingly! (she's 76)

There's got to be a reason, other than senility that's making him act so hostile all of a sudden to the Bush administration! GWB won in W.Virgina, for heaven's sake! I don't know, I'm really going out on a limb now; my imagination is getting away from me, but humor me please! ;)

Exactly! Maybe that's why he's doing it? Maybe he's doing this on purpose, in order to keep the Clinton's, or someone like them from getting in again for president? Believe me, it's crossed my mind at times. Why would he keep up acting like a sour-puss if he wanted his party to win? He's making a real uh, donkey of himself, isn't he? ;)

You know what I wonder about? Why has Dubya refused to answer questions about trying cocaine or marijuana? I suspect he has tried both, current reports suggest his daughters have too. I don't want any of them to be prosecuted, of course no-one else should be either.
