We need to get some mandatory age requirements for politicans. Experience is one thing but when you become confused and senile, you need to go!

BTW, Brian, do you recall whether Byrd made public comment condemning Clinton when he exceeded his 60-day limit under the WPA in Yugoslavia (a country that did not attack us either)? Did he express similar sentiments about any of the numerous other outrages and illegalities committed by that president? Reason I ask is that he seems mighty upset that any President might break a law. I'm just wondering if this concern of his is something that only developed on January 20, 2001.

Obviously Byrd doesn't know when to put the shovel down; he just keeps digging a deeper hole for his party to sink into.

...This only makes it alot easier for Dubya to get re-elected, and perhaps for either Vice-President Cheney or another prominet Pubbie to succeed him in 2008.

Funny how the Left will overlook ANYTHING, provided that the speaker is anti-American.

I think you are right.

I fully expect that we will find Saddam's weapons a few days after the Democratic Convention this fall. Right when they are expecting the poll numbers for their candidate to rise, Bush will be going through the roof instead.

I hope that until then, every possible Democratic leader gets on the record, attacking Bush over WMD's, so he can take them all down at the same time like it was Godfather2 all over again.

This rotten, racist old bastardo's SOLE reason for his whining diatribes is 1) he can do it without fear of paying at the ballot box; as he's a virtual lock every six years; and thus can say what other Dims REALLY think; and 2) He despises ANY expenditure of funds not controlled by himself for vote-purchasing ends.

Make no mistake, the vile, ignorant swine would crawl over his dead mother's body to scr&w his sister if he thought it would help him maintain his easy life as a Senator. God (and he) most certainly knows that there is NO other honest job he could ever hope to qualify for.

If this sounds angry, well DAMN STRAIGHT! Byrd, above almost all other Leftists, ignites the Furies within me to molten rage. He is a complete and total pig, in everty way possible. He posseses not a shred of honor, nor dignity, nor basic honesty. The presence of this evil beast in our Senate is an affront to all Americans.

Democratic Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia says the Bush administration lured the American people into launching an illegal, unprovoked attack on another nation in violation of international law and under false premises.

Old "Sheets" Byrd having a senior moment ... happening with distressing frequency lately.

What Mr. Byrd will be amazed to learn, at the ballot box in 2004, is that the decision to reaffirm the ceace-fire agreement of 1991 was not only a part of the war on terror, IT WAS THE MAIN EVENT !

No it just recurred on 1/20/01 after an 8 year lapse.

In addition to the maximum number of passengers allowed in an elevator, there should also be a warning sign, that no more than one Democrat will be allowed per car. In the unlikely event of a stall, the Democrats whining and crying will consume the fresh air available for the rest of the passengers.

Doesn't he have another "Robert Byrd" bridge overpass somewhere in Wheeling to dedicate? There's no fool like an old fool, I guess, but it sure seems that this superannuated old sheethead only takes his snout out of the public trough long enough to belch out more idiocy.

Senator Byrd may have "apologized" for being a leader of a terrorist organization, but his sypathies haven't changed, and they still lie with terrorists.

How can anyone apologize enough for belonging to- good grief, even leading- an organization which got its jollies off of lynching people and terrorizing the black families to scare them out of neighborhoods and even entire towns?

That Byrd holds the positions he does is no surprise- other white supremacists are firmly on the side of the palestinian terrorist organizations, too...

Evil senators seem to be the new trademark of the DEMONCRATS, setting new lows regularly, I have to say I feel the same way you do, just about many more of them. You are soooo right about their lack of honor, dignity or basic honesty. Judicial nominations comes to mind for example, ugh.
