Problem is: we didn't "fight" anyone in this or the 1st Gulf War thing...air power is indeed awesome, but I have a fear that our brass hats will continue to PR this thing and pat themselves on the back, all the while continuing this PC military, dumbing down of training, and downsizing...thereby leaving us in poor shape when and if we ever do confront a force that is willing to fight.

Funny thing. Seems TIME wanted to find acres of troops blown to bits and not finding any, had to change the tenor of their report: We didn't defeat them they just ran away. There are hints that TIME understands our strategery but it avoids crediting it with preventing a needless wholesale slaughter of the Iraqi troops.

We contacted their leadership by phone, email maybe even FedEx, told them how to avoid "confrontations", we bombed them with surrender and capitualation leaflets, and early forays took out armor wherever found.

I have to say that I'm proud of Tommy Franks, our President and our military for waging an incredibly well-planned, well-executed, humane and moral liberation of the Iraqi people.

"Cowards"? Why are they cowards? Would you want to fight to the death against an enemy you cannot defeat for Saddam Hussein? Even more, the enemy has a reputation for being very fair and kind? I would have done the same thing. The ones who didn't are simply stupid.
