He's been hitting the Purple Koolaid pretty heavy, it would appear.
I'd like to make a pitcher of Jimmy Jones' special brew just for him.

Thanks for the post, but I wonder if we can we REALLY believe
an Islamic paper is truthfully reporting on this guy's death?
He is one of the 7 or eight that several sources had said
escaped to Syria, and he was hiding out in a certain hotel
there.
Also, in order to believe this report, one has to also
believe Saddam survived both bombings, 3/20/2003
and 4/07/2003. Time will tell...
I'll start noting his new 'possible' status on the charts.
please ping me if there are ever any independent confirmations
of this.

Saddam's idol was Joe Stalin Not Adolf Hitler. He may have admired Stalin, and his recent military advisors may have been Stalinist Russians, but his origins are definitely fascist. Consider that his uncle was Kharaillah Tulfah, who worked with the Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini. The Mufti had links to Nazi Germany, probably established by Adolf Eichmann after he was appointed in 1937. According to Chuck Morse, the Mufti helped fund Nazi activities all over the Arab world, including a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq that failed. He would later go to Germany and then be sent to Bosnia where he recruited 100,000 muslims to fight for Hitler.
His cry was, "Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history, and religion. This saves your honor. God is with you."
Saddam was definitely a student of Hitler's. And given Abu Mazen's Holocaust denial, and his connection to the Mufti through Arafat, I do not see an immediate end to the influence of the Mufti in mideast affairs.

The newspaper said Al Rawi, commander of the elite Republican Guards, was accused of treason and shot in the head and back.I think the head alone would've sufficed.

Apparently part of his Korean name is Long Dong. So I changed it to the Short Donged One and added it to Yo Kim Chia Head.

Just following the lead of his idol -- Adolf Hitler. I was under the impression Saddam was a lot more influenced by Stalin than by Hitler. And Stalin, among other things, executed a lot more generals than Hitler, often for this very crime of being militarily unsuccessful.

They might also be dancing to this old Fred Astaire song:
There may be trouble ahead
But while theres moonlight and music and love and romance,
Lets face the music and dance.
Before the fiddlers have fled
Before they ask us to pay the bill
And while we still have the chance
Lets face the music and dance.
Soon well be without the moon
Humming a different tune
And then
There may be teardrops to shed
But while theres moonlight and music and love and romance.
Lets face the music and dance, dance
Letss face the music and dance

Hey, the USMC is an awesome fighting machine, but that headline gives them unearned credit. It was the Army's 3rd ID that took Baghdad with their "let's remind Fedayeen why shooting at Abrams on a roll from the back of a pickup only works when you're fighting Libyans".

Al Rawi was summoned by Saddam and executed on the day U.S. marines captured the Iraqi capital. The newspaper said Al Rawi's body was sent to his family. This goes to show the man's brutality.
