[history]
Having a diverse workforce and culture makes companies more efficient to compete in this modern economy, a human resources consultant told 200 representatives of large and small Michigan companies.
"There is evidence here that performance of organizations having a diverse climate have higher productivity and work quality," said Taylor Cox, founder and president of Taylor Cox & Associates Inc., a Plymouth consulting firm that helps companies implement, monitor and evaluate diversity programs.

Good grief. This is nothing more than free advertising, courtesy of the Detroit Free Press and is hardly newsworthy.

Taylor Cox is lying in order to push his own business. Cultural diversity has never made a business, city, state or nation stronger but in fact and in history makes these entities weak. God used "diversity" to break up the nation of Babel and destroy the kingdom of Nimrod.

I was speaking to a friend about a similar issue the other day, and I asked: show me one nation, group, team, or other such entity that has truly been successful because of diversity as we know it today (of race, thought, belief). The answer is quite simply none. Homogenous societies are the most successful in human history. Rome, the Soviet Union, and probably one could name a few others as a classic example of the failures of diversity in race and belief in a society.

Cox said that implementation of diversity programs begins with strong leadership at companies that are willing to take risks. If diversity is so desireable, it would have been implemented at all companies decades ago, and it wouldnt take a paid consultant to exhort corporate CEOs into a diversity mentality.

Yeah, I'm sure having a bunch a people who have nothing in common with one another, and can't speak the same language, must really increase an organization's efficiency.
Why, just look at the UN.

"There is evidence here that performance of organizations having a diverse climate have higher productivity and work quality," And yet he presents no evidence of this, and sites no studies whatsoever.
In other words this is patently untrue. You think diversity helps productivity (you lying self justifying sack of ...)?... tell it to the Japanese.

So why then aren't the Balkins a superpower?
To: sarcasm
Now, call me crazy, but I always thought the desire to make more money resulted in increased efficiency. I didn't know skin color played such an important role! (/sarcasm)
And the 'anti-racists' turn out to be the true racists once again.

From what I remember from my "Industrial Sociology" course, Taylor Cox is eithre lying or delusional. Not diversity, but similarity in values, behavior, and ability to communicate among others (e.g. honesty, the work ethic, etc.) promote productivity and quality of work.

So why then aren't the Balkins a superpower? You forgot the other half of the story. You see, they were not gifted with the natural resources that we stole from the indians. . .

Right... and those minorities are all empowered... some of them with artillery.
