Entertaining beautiful women since 1972 !

I'd be much more impressed had you not been born in 1931.

But I bet you looked sharp with your mood ring and baby blue leisure suit!

Close. I wasn't born in 1931, I was boring in 1931.

I became entertaining in 1972. I can draw pictures on my body by connecting the age spots with a pen.

But I bet you looked sharp with your mood ring and baby blue leisure suit!

I wore a lava lamp on my head at parties.

Getting the waxy stuff out of my hair was murder.

Please increase the labor rolls by ONE. Thank you.

I'm very glad to hear that. Congratulations.

Although I've been continuously employed since 1996 (I took a voluntay year-long sabbatical from work in 1995-1996--because I could afford to do so), many of my friends are out of work and/or severely underemployed. Many of them are highly talented, highly trained, and have years of experience. I hope your new job is a good omen for my friends.

Give me time to get myself situated correctly, then it is Miniature Pinschers for me! One male, then one female. I am gonna really look for an intelligent male, and train the heck out of him. It turns out I am really good at dog training.... who knew???

And then someday in the more distant future, a full sized Dobie. I want to be able to walk 2 littles and a big at the same time. :o) Of course, I might need someone to help me walk all those dogs....

*LOL*. My kitties keep me on my toes that's for sure! Course, they're kitties so there is no 'patter'. (at least till they're very old and can't retract their claws anymore, then it's more like a 'click click click' across the floor!)

I earnestly hope so! I started to get callbacks and hits on my resume immediately after the war ended successfully, and I jumped on every contact. Secured one of them.

On the negative side of the ledger, I have noticed that after the intial post-victory hiring spurt, there has been a slowdown again. I think all the created jobs during the 30 days of the war were postponed until the victory, but I do sense that there will be a slow increase in the need for skilled labor.

When I had my first dog, within a year I had him trained to Sit, Stay, Down, Jump and Speak. I could get him to do pushups by quickly signalling the commands for Sit-Down-Sit-Down-Sit-Down... it was hilarious. I had him trained on voice, hand, or voice-and-hand signals.

One day I put him in the Stay position, and the phone rang. I ran upstairs to answer it, then forgot about him. I strolled over to my computer, went on the 'net for about 10 minutes, then came downstairs. There he was, in the same position I left him in -- FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES!!!

What a good doggie!

I gave him nibbles of steak and LOTS of love for being such a good puppy that day....

Boy do I miss that dog.....

May I suggest looking for a rescue group specializing in that breed, as opposed to trying to find a breeder. You help out some good folks and animals, and you don't unintentionally support a front for a puppy mill. Most rescue groups put the animals in foster care first, for proper evaluation.

I may do just that, however, my first dog ever (a minipin) was purchased at a pet store. We did EVERYTHING wrong. But it turned out to be the most intelligent and healthy minipin in the world. The second minipin was good, but wasn't nearly as intelligent or quite as obedient as the first. That one was purchased in advance from an out of state breeder. I suspect it might have been a mill, because contacting the breeder became difficult after only a few months.

Getting a dog is a crap shoot. But I really want to spend a lot of time and effort to make sure I get an intelligent minipin for the first one, so I will be selecting parents much more than the puppy itself. That won't lend itself readily to a rescue dog. I would consider a rescue dog for the second one, though!

I realllly miss my Thor.

Why would anyone believe anything from Reuters?

For that matter, those who invest based on emotion and ego will disbelieve everything that threatens their emotions and ego.

That just completely depends. I do some work for a rescue group, and the histories of our dogs vary from quite extensive (usually owner give-ups) to nonexistent (taken from shelters or found abandoned). So it wouldn't hurt to at least check in with a group, if one is near your area. Dogs are wonderful companions (I have two mutts), and I wish you the best in your search.
