ARRRRRRR!! Right nice looking vessel there, matey! That one actually has timbers to shiver (I'm not sure, but I don't think that's a good thing...) I always wanted to hang some canvas sheets from the *masts* on the USS Wright, making a sort of CVl-windjammer. I suspect I would have been stopped from actually doing so.

Interesting how a thread about Phillipine Crucifixions suddenly turns into where the best girl bars are in Asia. Hmmmmmm.
Well, we had kind of limited the considerations to a narrower view of the Phillipines, but opening up all of Asia as grounds for discussion does offer possibilities. I think my own votes would require further current research [my own experience is both sadly dated and limited] around Bangkok's Patpong and Sukhumvit Road districts, with possible thoughts of the golden days of Pre WWII Shanghai and the *Long Bar*. But I can think of a few real outstanding exceptions elsewhere, including one interesting one in Pokhara, Nepal.
If you'd care to accompany us on a tour, I'd be pleased to introduce you to the festivities at The Cave in Bangkok [formerly Chelsea] most any Thursday or Saturday evening. Black attire required.
The best name claim to fame likely goes to Lucy's Oar House on Batam island, jost off Singapore. The girls said to tell you hi.

Oh man, what a tease, the photo link didn't work...Hey, how do you put photo's up anyway? See the instructions and info *here* and if that proves overly detailed for you, I can point you at another tutorial that ought to give you enough basics to get the job done.

I wonder if they still play "Smile" at the Randy Rams Inn near Clark (or what used to be Clark)? Plenty of local talent still there - yeah, probably.

like I saidI've never been to the P.I. (more than a hour or two) or let alone to these places. but when you live(d) in Asia as long as I have you hear plenty of war stories. most seem unbelievable but OTOH they all eerily sound the same.
