You are both correct. I DO recall seeing these people, and their obvious need for food and water. I've seen so many images that they seem to overshadow what I witnessed only days before, in some cases, hours. Please don't think that I was being totally insensitive to those who are in serious need, I think I was asking myself aloud (by posting) why these guys were in such good shape. It makes me wonder if they might have changed into civilian clothes after ditching a uniform or something, and holding such a sign in order to escape scrutiny.In other words, I was wondering if the many Iraqis' that DO appear to be well fed were in the regimes' "good graces" and are now playing a grand game of CYA. Your sobering reminder of those who truly suffer re-enforces these suspicions. I think I'd better lay off the news for a while.It's making me crazy.
