I know you supprt our troops...and I am proud of and salute you for that.

Problem is, the accounts were not attributed to anyone (can anyone readily name the other rescued and wounded survivors and/or their wounds?...See my point?)

I do not mean YOU made any reference to "Medal of Honor" (though many have).

NO!...As I have said to you (I think...if not, let me be clear), I worked with females most of my career and spent eight years at the USAF Academy and have the highest regard for women in uniform. Gender makes no difference in my question of the hype PFC Lynch has had. I say that totally honestly. Again, do we se a single thread about these othe two rescued troops...NO!

You cannot compare Michael Speicher to PFC Lynch...two completely different situations and acts.

I refuse to believe the alledged bullet wounds...I have worked in ER and OR and the full array of medical duties for most of my adult life...no ne can mistake a missile wound...the docs simply evaded the question and side stepped the answer.

Thanks for you suport...though we see a few things a bit differently, I believe we do support those who need it.

Here ya go, Patty...the real deal! This is a photo of the only all female KC-135 air refueling crew flying missions over Kuwait and Iraq. And, two of my friends from USAFA are also KC-135 drivers and say that this crew is top notch!

Great photo! I'll bet all those pilots looking to fill their tanks are glad these women are up there.

Thanks again - I appreciate the information. Each question answered leads to more questions for me, but I think I'll just keep them to myself at this point. : )

A tune runs through her head, "Country roads, take me home, to the place, I belong,...." You can take the boy or girl out of West Virginia but you can't take West Virginia out of the girl or boy.

Thank you - but I don't want to sign up at the Washington Post, so I didn't read the whole story at the time - but my question is, if she's the only survivor of the incident (aside from those captured that may still be alive), who told "U.S. officials" what she did, if she didn't?

At least some of the info came from Iraqis who saw it happen.

Hmmmmm...that's interesting, also! Thanks, Poohbah.

They were also saying, "battlefield intelligence" credited her with fighting until she was out of ammo.

Which means some of this stuff is going to be classified under protecting methods and sources of gathering intelligence.

"Which means some of this stuff is going to be classified under protecting methods and sources of gathering intelligence."

It was probably a radio intercept of a fedayeen shouting, "HOLY S**T, THAT AMERICAN WOMAN IS KICKING OUR A$$E$!"

Yep.

If she were old enough, I'd buy her a beer.

I am quite certain Walter Reed is not "home". I pray that the Lord gets her home at the earlliest possible time.

The leftist elite sneers at "flyover" country families like hers. They are the salt of the earth, and I'd rather have a beer with them than a cocktail with the "enlightened" ones.

Former POW Jessica Lynch No Longer in Intensive Care, Doctors Say
The Associated Press
Published: Apr 9, 2003

LANDSTUHL, Germany (AP) - Rescued U.S. POW Jessica Lynch was moved out of intensive care at a military hospital in Germany on Wednesday and is spending more time talking with her family as she recovers.
Lynch, a 19-year-old Army private first class from Palestine, W.Va., was captured March 23 after her 507th Maintenance Company convoy was ambushed in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah. She was rescued from a hospital in the city April 1 by U.S. commandos and airlifted to Germany.

She was moved from intensive care to a regular medical ward Wednesday morning and ate a breakfast of pancakes and strawberries, said Capt. Norris Jones, a spokesman for the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

Doctors say she may be well enough by week's end to be released.

Lynch is being treated for a head wound, an injury to her spine and fractures to her right arm, both legs, and her right foot and ankle.

Michael Speicher

Is that the pilot that was originally thought killed in Gulf War I and then was relisted as MIA?

I was referring to Scott O'Grady who was shot down in Bosnia.

I think we've all bludgeoned this to death for now, and if we run across any truly new information that sheds light on the facts, we can ping each other.

Some of your best friends are women?

Interesting picture; however, I'd be more interested in getting a deck of the Saddam and his henchmen playing cards.

But is it a good idea to take the decks out of circulation? They were made for the purpose of rounding up these baddies and bassies.
