Winter brings em down every year from New York, New Jersey and points north. The ones in Palm Beach Co. are some who stayed. Good thing the election showdown didn't happen in Colorado or some other liberal stronghold. Gore would be President.

Yes, we do need to find him, and I'd start looking in Temple Terrace/Suitcase City. Can you imagine how big a cell there could be around USF, just waiting for word to go after a target of opportunity? Folks over here on this side of the Bay don't seem to be one bit concerned, though.

If the president stays on MacDill, he will be perfectly safe. The Security Police aren't going to just let anyone on the base.

I sure do hope their security police are better than the ones at a post here in Arkansas. Recently an arab tried to get on post using a fake Saudi student ID. Had no license plate on his car, no registration and was asking questions about the military units on post. The security guard didn't let him on post but didn't think to call the MPs until after he had already left. Really dumb.

Let's hope the same people who eyed all those hanging chads in Florida back in 2000 are just as observant with this fellow. Frightening, considering President Bush is speaking to the troops in Tampa right now.

I used to say when I lived down there, that if you were to "shake" the United States, everything that was "loose" winds up in Florida (no offense to Fla. residents, just my experience while I was there). A lot of migratory, strange characters end up there.

The only liberal strongholds in Colorado would be Boulder and the government in Denver. The rest of us in the state only use them as humor and laughing stock material.

Tampa-Melbourne is only about 120 miles (and that's the wide part of the state), it ain't like El Paso-Houston. Yes, we're still on the Eastern Seaboard, even though there's a bit of sand between us and Port Canaveral. Back when he was still with 970 WFLA (and back when his show was still halfway decent), Glenn Beck used to call us the "West Coast of the East Coast". Don't worry, Tampa is still right where it's always been, only now we have the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!!!
