Huge Pro-Saddam march in NYC

A huge parade of left-wing idiots is currently marching down Broadway headed towards Washington Square Park. They've been marching past my apartment for 15 minutes so far at least, and there's no sign of a let-up yet.
They are chanting "No Blood for Oil" repeatedly and carrying signs that an anti-Bush theme. The most amusing one I've seen so far was the guy who had a sign that said "I like French Fries" but he seemed to be hiding it somewhat behind another one. "Impeach Bush" is popular. I just saw two signs in a row, one says "Abort Bush in the First Term" and the second says "Thou Shall Not Kill".
Overall it looks peaceful so far, no window-breaking or looting yet. Still waiting on word of projectile vomiters.

Parasites of Freedom Rally.

I didn't know in this day and age our home grown Commies could muster that kind of turnout.
To: thoughtomator
FOX just had an overhead live shot. I thought that the crowd looked pretty sparse for NYC actually.

It's all politics folks. As usual, the issue at hand is irrelevant to these asswipes.....it's all about political power.

Its irrelevant. Nice for the cameras but then again they don't represent the 80% opinion in the country in favor of Iraq's liberation. Appearances can be deceiving and not everything presented on TV's necessarily true.

At least we know what DU is doing today.

The REAL NEWS out of NY, of course, SHOULD BE. Today 7,998,000 New Yorkers did NOT DEMONSTRATE against their country, their President or their Military!!!!!

Bush has higher poll numbers in Southern Iraq than he does in San Francisco.I saw some of these unwashed political illiterates on the news.
They even brought their kids along.
These kids will grow up to reject their parents just like the 60s kids revolted against theirs.
The revolution in the making now is a conservative workers reality check.
A record number of people now own their own homes thanks to the low interest rates.
The nearing prosperity boom will catapult Republicans into the majority party.
Democrats are doomed!!

These people disgust me...you know, I actually forgot about this until now, but at the protest in Boston on Thursday night, one of the chants was "f*ck Bush" and another was "kill bush". I was absolutely appalled! And atleast one newspaper story reported them as being "a peaceful people".

CNN is gleefully reporting the parade of human garbage!
To: thoughtomator
Are they having a peuk in or crap in? That advanced form of human behavior may be reserved for the hyper-evolved humans of the San Francisco region.

msnbc actually went live to a pro rally. Go figure. There will be 10% of the people who will be against war no matter what. McGovernites, all. McGovern, after seeing proof of all the torture, still says war is wrong. I despise these hypocrites.

Oliver North this morning was saying that the military men and women are watching only FOX because it is fair and balance to their cause and paints them as heroes! They are EXTREMELY grateful for FOX patroitism reporting! I JUST HOPE THAT FOX DOESN'T BLOW IT BY SHOWING TOOOOO MUCH OF THE PROTESTS!! Our soldiers NEED to see and hear that AMERICANS are behind them 100%!!! I noticed that on the ships they have FOX on 24hrs!! PLEASE FOX DON'T SHOW THE ANTI-PROTESTS while our soldiers are watching you!! This is very demoralizing to them!!!!

I am proud of President George Bush, who in the highest traditions of American Independence, has refused to accept blatant "thugism" that threatens everyone, within America, and without.
The protesters remind me of the young soldier who doesnt fire his weapon in combat, hoping that the enemy will not shoot him. He only insures that his number will soon be up. This is not "theory", and anyone who has been there will tell you this is true.
It is cowardly not to confront blatant evil when it is so amply demonstrated, as has been the case in IRAQ for so many years. Saddam was an evil monster, willing to kill anyone who had a different view. Even so, America tolerated the mess until it became apparent that it was flashing back upon America itself, and then it became time to act.
I think the "protectors" around the world, and no less those in the United States at this juncture, are inured with "insured socialism", the life of "perfect safety" and "no possible harm" etc. They think because of the education that Liberals have provided children for two generations now that as long as they "follow the rules no harm can ever come to them.
This attitude, which is cowardly as well as stupid, creates the very environment in which the Saddams of the world, like Stalin, Mao, and Hitler before them, can capture resources and command people in a despotic rule by fear and death.
Let me tell you something. Just because you refuse to shoot your own weapon, gives you no assurance that another will not shoot you!
God bless the President, a President of whom every single American can be proud. President Bush has demonstrated that at least some Americans, the majority of them, can still be counted upon to stand for something.

About ten minutes ago, I turned on
pMSNBC to see what they were covering. You guessed it, the anti-war protesters. One airhead family had a family member in the Gulf region and was still out there protesting.
This is the same group that protestests the Univeristy of the Americas (I believe they have changed their name). They had a large paper mache puppet charicature of Bush. The A.N.S.W.E.R. web sight was hawked.
P.S. Roy Schieder was there. Good ole Roy was expounding the right of actors to voice their opinions at the Oscars tomorrow.
To: SanDiegoConservative
My sentiments exactly. I actually took these at the first "Support Our Troops" Rally...but my bet is that the tenor remains the same today. We'll be out in force at tomorrow's rally in Times Square to counter this nonsense and show the troops who really has their back.

It always amazes me that people don't understand what they are doing by protesting and what it does to their loved ones who are in the military! I will never ever understand someone who has the gall to do that! I have talked to military wives who don't agree with everything, but they are staying as far away from the protests as possible, b/c they want to support their husbands more than anything else!

"No blood for oil!" What would we have cried in past wars? Let's see, the Civil War: "No blood for African Americans!" I am so sick of these namby pamby "free speechers" who really only care about publicity.

Interestingly enough, I noticed that a certain recent anti-war protest in Gaza received no airtime, however. Gee, I wonder why?

CNN had statistics comparing 1991 with 2003.
Something like 93% Republicans in favor in 1991 and 94% Republicans in favor in 2003.
Something like 84% Democrats in favor in 1991 and 34% Democrats in favor in 2003.
CNN explained the difference --- it's Bush's fault! See, the Democrats are strongly opposed to Bush and will oppose absolutely everything he says or proposes. And this hardcore opposition to anything related to Bush is his fault (not caused by any change in the Democrats' party).
