Uh...believe it not, I wasn't attempting to "bait" anyone with that question. I was hoping someone would honestly answer. It's certainly a legitimate question; after all, either everyone who persecuted the jews over the centuries were either possessed of an irrational desire to harm this particular group, or they had some reason-however skewed, wrongheaded or superstitious-for doing so. I'm sure you'll see an "agenda," and blatant "anti-semitism" in that very direct question. But then, you not only have me categorized as an "anti-semite" for merely asking a logical question, you probably think anyone who opposes our one-sided middle eastern foreign policy is an "anti-semite."

You can call me silly, and I've certainly out on the fringe, but I'm not delusional yet. And come up with a better retort to defend Israel than "anti-semitic." Don't you understand how similar that is to Jesse Jackson and co. calling their critics "racist?" I'm proud to be smeared in the same sentence with Justin Raimondo.

Several points.

Justin has not been banned, he just doesn't respond to many posts. But, that's irrelvent since he routinely ignored any posts challenging his delusional conspiracy theories anyway. That was understandable since he rarely had the logic or facts necessary to any credible defense anyway.

Quite frankly, I don't know which of your claims, ie, that Justin was a "hell of a writer" or that he provided a "rational alternative" is the more absurd. His writing skills were always overshadowed by his abilities to find Jewish conspiracies. (Typical of Justin's logic were his allegations that since Israeli intelligence shadowed terrorists in the United States, they must have known about 9/11 in advance.) There was no Palestinian attrocity too heinous for Justin to defend, there was Israeli response to these attrocities that Justin would not condemn.

BTW, you can ping justin by simply including his screen name in any response you make to any post or article. Separate screen names by using the ; symbol. You might also wish to use the search function to read some of his articles post here and the responses refuting his facts and logic.

"Dennis “Justin” Raimondo, proprietor of the “antiwar.com” website..."

Dennis?
Dennis?
How adorable!
I wonder what he'll be like if he grows up?

I can't defend Raimondo, except by saying that once upon a time he did some fairly good work. He was important in organizing the Republican Liberty Caucus, and has written a couple of well received books. That having been said, it appears he has gone over to the Dark Side these past few years. Many of his more recent articles are incomprehensible and take positions I can't imagine a decent person adopting.

But Schwartz has permitted his animus to spill over onto targets that don't deserve it, notably Garet Garrett and Murray Rothbard.

Garet Garrett was a prominent economist, New Deal critic and author of The People's Pottage, a set of essays on the expansion of Federal power through economic centralization and militarism. Though he strongly favored an America-first foreign policy, to the best of my knowledge he never advocated the defeat of the United States once the country had involved itself in war. Schwartz's statement to the contrary, notably free of any references or citations, seems to be pure slander.

Murray Rothbard was a brilliant economist and author. For a long time, he was regarded as one of the elite of Austrian neoclassical school of economics. His Man, Economy and State is probably the best "principles of economics" text available today. He's anything but obscure among the economically literate.

If you're going to go on the warpath against a particular target, you should at least try not to wound the uninvolved. Inasmuch as Schwartz seems to have gone out of his way to cast a wide net of aspersions, I question his motives, to say nothing of his decency and good taste.

Poor Stephen Schwartz, a.k.a. Ahmed Suleyman, a.k.a. "Comrade Sandalio." He seems to have gone over the edge. No doubt the FReepers will be fascinated by his defense of unionism and Trotskyism, and his contention that he is the most learned scholar of all time. I see he has taken my attempt at humor -- pining for a world without Eminem -- and blown it up into a full-fledged delusional theory about ... something or other. He seems awfully mad about the "Israel knew about 9/11 and didn't tell us" theory promulgated by those well-known anti-Semites at Fox News. Perhaps he should write an article about how Carl Cameron, the reporter who did a four-part series about it.

Gee, since I changed my (first) name at the tender age of 16, I haven't been called "Dennis" in decades: reading Schwartz's rant, I get the eerie feeling that I'm being upbraided by my own mother! "Dennis, put down that 'Man in the High Castle' garbage and DO YOUR HOMEWORK!"

What I don't understand is why anyone would bother with Schwartz's unreadable attack on me, when they could've posted David "Axis of Drivel" Frum's jeremiad against myself, Lew Rockwell, Bob Novak, Buchanan, etc. -- which, believe it or not, is going to be the COVER STORY in National Review. At least Frum tries to make some distorted kind of sense. Schwartz is just bloviating about how wonderful he is, which, as anyone who has met him can testify, is nothing but a cruel joke.

I see all the usual Isra-bots are at the same old stand, exuding hate as naturally as a squid exudes dark clouds of splooge.

He was important in organizing the Republican Liberty Caucus.......

My short comment is the word liberty is being cheapened and abused by libertarians. Just peruse Liberty Forum which claims that it's powered (Powered? What is this supposed to mean?) by reason and principle. 6 months ago Jim Robinson had an indirect exchange with owner of Liberty Forum. In the owner's statement he used the word liberty 7 times. I consider this the mark of a dullard, of a clown.

Sorry but he ranked you in the lower tier and behind Pat Buchanan. Frum did not pen a perfect piece but he sure stuck it to your cowardly crowd of Americans who are freaked out and terrified by Jihadists and Muslims in general. I'm not as neo-conservative as Frum. I like the Paleo stuff on immigration, protectionism and American nationalism.

Don't flatter yourself buddy. Wanna take a poll to see how many americans know who Bob Novak is, and how many wait with trembled breath to see the latest screed from Justin Raimondo. You are a pipsqueak, and that is just your fate in life. Deal with it, accept it, and keep ranting about the JOOS to your little circle of onanists.

I see all the usual Isra-bots

Hey guys! something to add to the Amen Corner Hatchet Team!

are at the same old stand, exuding hate

Hate in this case being humor, shots at a former name and suggestions of medication improvements to some one that, as typical for one of the "Truly Enlightened"(tm), takes themselves way too seriously and makes claims not supported not facts.

Israel "knew" about 911 about as much as our FBI. You want to point a finger, point it at the FBI office is San Diego. One of the hijackers, a man on the FBI's known terrorist list was living in San Diego, under his REAL name, for seven months prior to 911. We could have busted this guy in June of 2001, had an FBI agent simply looked in a current San Diego phone book. And you have a deluded death wish enough to oppose the Patriots Act.

as naturally as a squid exudes dark clouds of splooge.

My good man, squids exude ink. All my splooge these days is reserved for my wife.
