...U-N Security council members are proceeding with a plan that would prolong weapons inspections in Iraq...These people are doltz!!!

France has ruined its relationship with the United States for a generation to come. France has become moldier than their cheese.

An effective containment / inspection program dictates that an air tight embargo be maintained. It has often been argued by the left that hundreds/thousands of Iraqi women and children die every month as a result of the embargo. Perhaps getting the military phase of the disarmament is the most humane path.

Then the inspectors had best keep their heads down in Iraq. I understand it may get a bit noisy and dangerous there.

What President Bush and Prime Minister Blair, along with our numerous allies want, is the the same thing that they have always wanted. They want Iraq to disarm. They want the UN to actively enforce it's own resolutions. They want the Middle East rid of a monsterous dictator that has invaded his nieghbors and murdered his own people. They have wanted these things for 12 years now. If the UN choses to sit this one out, fine. The United States along with our "coalition of the willing" will get what we want on our own. If, however, the UN and nations Like France, Germany, Russia, and Mexico seek to actively obstruct our efforts in any way the should be ready to accept the full measure of our displeasure, be they economic or otherwise. A recurring theme in my posts will always be that the United States is a Sovereign Nation and will continue to pursue our own interests at all times. If those interests happen to coincide with other nations interests, so be it, but let it never be said that this Great Nation should ever subordinate its own interest in favor of any other government or world body.

Despite pressure from President Bush, U-N Security council members are proceeding with a plan that would prolong weapons inspections in Iraq...As long as the inspectors don't mind having a missile lodged in their rectum, I don't see a problem with this.

LOL! I thought it was made abundantly clear in Azores today there is NO MORE ROOM FOR DELAY. I guess to the French and their friends at Turtle Bay, it all depends on the meaning of the words "no more room" and "delay." Clintonian word games. For a world on the verge of war, the UN seems completely blase about it.

For a world on the verge of war, the UN seems completely blase about it. They are under the impression that we will back down.
They are wrong.

United Nations-AP -- Despite pressure from President Bush, U-N Security council members are proceeding with a plan that would prolong weapons inspections in Iraq... Good...then it looks like the Bush program is proceeding as planned and these stooges will be left on the side-lines to observe.

Diplomats say it is not immediately clear what the US, Britain and Spain want from the Security Council tomorrow.I think it's called, "you wouldn't lead, you won't follow, now get the hell out of the way!"

Glad to have provided the chuckle!
I'm still in shock that France, Germany & Russia are willing to deliberately sabotage their relationships with us and forfiet the economic opportunity to help rebuild Iraq when the war is over. Free Iraq will remember who to thank & the coallition of the unwilling won't be invited to the party.

"It should be really fun to watch the Texan in action in the next few days. He was already pissed today...they don't want to see him when he gets past that."
I noticed his irritation also. I had to laugh.
