And this in NYC, no less. Just a 1 1/2 years ago, firefighters everywhere were lauded as heroes...for about 3 weeks.

Since 9-11, I have thought the media ought to be showing brief clips of the WTC in flames, with a trailer reading, "We will never forget", at the beginning of every show. Instead of "protecting" people from the carnage, they should have been showing every picture they had.

American sheeple are spoiled and amazingly ungrateful. This is proof they are also diabolically illogical and forgetful. Their hippie grandparents should have been ignored and made into laughing stocks instead of hired to indoctrinate children in the name of education.

I think the one who initially shouted "fascists" should be watched carefully if possible. I wonder if there were any photos or video of this incident. That one was trying to instigate a fight to gain more press coverage when the rest were happy to just bleat after him. That one has had some intensive training from ANSWER (to suppress the post 9/11 natural response of respect for the NYFD that any normalperson would have) and is a real danger as his goal is anarchy first and then socialism. I hope the FBI get his photo.

I was told this morning that if we dare go to war against Iraq, with the world and America (protesters) against it they do plan to riot in the streets across America. And it will be bloody. This from a lefty college professer!

This shows the true colors of this crowd. They're supposedly anti-war/anti-violence but are actually Marxist pragmatists, condoning violence to meet their ends. They want bloodshed, bring it on. They are the real enemy of this country. Sadly for them, it's the true American majority that is armed and ready to protect our property and freedom with our lives. This lefty crowd has seriously underestimated the resolve of America since 9/11. They want to dance, let them start the music. After all, it's the survival of my family, not loving a dictator, tree, ozone layer or fur bearing creature that matters.

I am livid after reading this story! And even MORE livid after checking out those ridiculous polls. What the hell is wrong with these idiots??? I'm ashamed to admit it, but in my younger years, I considered myself a democrat (please forgive me, for I knew not what I was doing!), but thank God I wised up and switched parties a few years ago. Even though I was "one of them" back then, I still supported our President, no matter what party he represented. It is horrifying and disturbing to see these a**holes protesting in the streets and hearing the crap that comes out of their mouths! While watching the news last night, they showed the protesters in New York (I think) and one of them was carrying the American Flag with a swastika imprinted on it. I felt like throwing up. I pray to God that these "lost individuals" will find their way back and realize that President Bush is doing everything he possibly can to save THEIR sorry butts. But, I doubt they'll change. How sad. Sorry to ramble so... I just had to vent.

First of all, there were not 1 million of them marching!

I had a friend who used to work as a pretty talking head on the street for a San Francisco tv station about 12 years ago.

They were told to make sure that in covering in anti American protest, to make sure that the anti American protesters looked like a massive amount of people and to never position the cameras to show how small the group was.

Next they were never to show any of these losers close up nor were the talking heads to interview any of the renta mobbers.

My friend was a conservative and grew tired of this game. So on a long weekend there was a protest and her news directors were gone. She ordered a live long distance shot and interviews. That live shot showed that instead of the hundreds that the other stations were lying about, there was about 30 really shabby renta mobbers.

She was supposed to have interviewed a well educated lesbo college professor in charge of the renta mobbers. My friend went out and talked to the brain damaged and truly ugly renta mobbers instead.

This went on for about 5 minutes before the off duty news director called in and stopped the reality broadcasting.

My friend was fired by the news director when she returned to the station.

Sure they are. They protest peace the way smoking protestors protest smoking. The way anti-war protestors protest the lack of a war in Iraq ('cause beyond the UN-imposed, 12-year police action after the we whupped Saddam's but in the Gulf war, we are not at war with Iraq yet.)

If they WANTED peace, they should be called by a more grammatically correct name. Let's not give them any suggestions. The terms which accurately portray their anything BUT peaceful intentions are great ammo against them.

The aftermath of the 1968 Chicago DemocRAT Convention riot...

I remember 1969 in Chicago.
If you're old enough to recall, until then, nobody - except for some hippies and Peter Fonda wannabes - wore American flags on their clothes or hats. That was a no-no. Anyway, at the height of the protests in front of the Federal Courthouse where the trial of the "Chicago 7" (Abbie Hoffman, Renny Davis, Tom Hayden, Jerry Rubin, Bobby Seale, Lee Weiner, John Froines) was underway, the construction workers downtown - the "hardhats" - had a belly-full of seeing NVA flags carried around and hearing the favorite chant of the protesters, "Ho-Ho-Ho Chi Minh, NLF is gonna win!" One day, the "hardhats" put American flag stickers on their hardhats and at noon, thousand upon thousands of union and non-union iron workers, sheet metal workers, carpenters, cement finishers, plumbers, electricians, painters, laborers, etc. all walked off their jobs and confronted the unwashed rabble of anti-American protesters and pounded lumps on them! They routed the scum out of downtown and made sure they didn't come back. Ever since then, wearing the American flag on a hardhat has been de riguer, as the whole country took a shine to wearing the flag. The "hardhats" gained a reputation and during that time were feared by hippie and Yippie scum. The hardhats brought the peace to Chicago. I remember. My dad was one of them.
