That'll draw a nice clique of the Lozerdopian crowd. No doubt a few FRee-to smoke dope-pers will be watching.

That must be rough for ole LandPhil Donahue; being replaced by a man who made it big in a feather boa and tights, and a sheep farmer with a rug on his head.

Jesse Ventura interviewing Carrot-Top -- This ought to be a compelling demographic for advertisers.

Moderation. The drug war is a strong acid to Liberty. Carrie Nation was right -- drinking in the US was over the limit. We had our cure. It brought its own problems -- most cures do.
But ...
It was Constitutional. It respected law.
Most federal drugs are illegal, unconstitutional. Oh -- a person what violates them would be jailed, and the current temper of the USSCT would be to uphold that conviction.
But Carrie Nation -- would she? Would the Temperance Movement have ever condoned throwing out the precious golden-haired baby with the bathwater?
Be a champ. Respect the LAW. Return respect for the base of our Federal Laws -- abolish the FDR-court-packed constitutionally-ignorant-and-dissing monsters including the Drug War, or pass a genuine Constitutional Amendment to allow it.
If you were an Ohioan in 1850, would you be ratting out your nabes up the lane for running an underground RR stop? They are violating the law, ain't they?

Jesse Ventura is NOT in the hospital. Per Drudge:
"BULLETIN ELIMINATION Mon Feb 10 2003 18:26:22 ET ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Eliminate the Ventura-Health story, filed as p0724. The story is seven months old and was transmitted to the wire accidentally. The AP... "

Joe Scarborough? Joe Scarborough is the guy who has been filling in for Jerry Nachman while he's been in the hospital (cancer surgery). It looks like Nachman may be off-the-air for good?

If true his second coming didn't last very long. It was a little longer than Mondale's second coming last fall.
Soddomite had better cancel his last check to Phil to pay Phil for crying for his cash cow, Uncle Soddomite.
It is amazing that slime ball is still on. Chrissy boy must have some photos of some top GE guy in bed with Michael Jackson and some of Michael's underage friends to keep his job with his ratings.

Nachman was the only decent show left on that channel. Why doesn't GE just save their money and shutter MSNBC once and for all. Maybe they could start a music video channel that actually shows music videos.

Plain and simple, Chris Matthews sucks. His temporary, pseudo-criticism of Bubba during MonicaGate ultimately gave way to his Hitlery butt-kissing real self.
I don't know anyone who watches him anymore.

Phil Donahue? You mean that white-haired jerk that had a talk show some 10-15 years ago? The one that wore a dress? How is he relevant to this discussion? Is he even still alive?

I saw Joe S. yesterday on MSNBC doing a show and he was pretty entertaining. He had Eric Alterman on and basically laughed in his face, as Eric was asserting the media is actually conservative and brought up the old 2000 "Gore was robbed" chestnut.
He has potential IF he doesn't get all nicey-nice with the enemy.

Probably the reason he is still there, is he has 8 yrs left on his contract.

Scarborough is a former Congressman from Florida, known for his adamantly Conservative views (if he's the fellow that I'm thinking about).
So GE has killed the Left-ward slant of MSNBC by ditching Donahue and bringing in Centrist Ventura and Right-Winger Scarborough.
GE is well known for improving under-performing divisions. With the libs demoted and the Centrists/Right-Wingers promoted, no doubt GE will reap a handsome reward for their savvy realignment.

A conservative and smart!
I hope he makes it.

I caught part of Scarborough's show yesterday?
He was really good. If he keeps telling it like it is
he could have a popular show. I do not think Ventura will be a good host. We'll see.

he (Matthews) has 8 yrs left on his contract. How did he get that deal?
To: Dr. Scarpetta
".How did he get that deal"
In 2001(you are not going to believe this) Fox tried to steal him from MSNBC. He played both ends against the middle and got a ten yr. contract. I do not know how much he got, but Drudge reported somewhere between 500,000 and a million a year.
To: woodyinscc
I liked Nachman. The one liberal in the news media I could stomach. He asked the hard questions, and did not suck up to people. It was refreshing to see someone on tv who was not out there trying to posture himself as some sort of 'glamour boy' or 'know-it-all.' Is there any update on his condition? I hope he is going to be OK.
To: LdSentinal
badada dada dada another one bites the dust.
To: MHT
Joe Scarborough? Former Republican congressman from Florida's 1st district. He's a conservative who resigned his seat in 2001. There was speculation that he might try to become senator of Florida in 2004, but with this move, it looks like he will be staying out of the political arena.
To: LdSentinal
They are trying too bump up the Mn. viewers with Jessie. We are at an average of 100. 50 more then listened to Ventura's radio show. He left Mn. in a heap of trouble and wanted too raise taxes before he left!!! Now he gets 2 million a year too leave PMSNBC in a more trouble.

Yup. Ditch Jesse, and put Keyes Back On, at 8, looking for Conservatives that don't care for O'Reilly, and instead of having goofball college guests, structure the show like McLaughlins One on One, with a steady (Balanced) Roundtable segment, and go for the Smart Viewers.
Dont aim to win, at 8 or 9, aim to bolster the Networks Credibility among the thinking segment of the Public, and go for 7 PM and 10 pm wins, It is easier to knock of Shepard Smith and Greta, than BO'R, and H&C......

No, this lineup is exactly what we need to guarantee failure. GE will cut the cord within 1 year, imo.
