ahh..compassionate liberals. People are homeless and hungry. They riot a football game for crying out loud. Could not use the energy to go feed the homeless etc.

Indeed. After the post-game shows, I swung my dish to try and get reaction from Oakland and Tampa. Nothing from TB but I caught some of the riots from Oakland. The animals had worked over some cars, but the LEO's came and started gassing the place. No more problems after that. I'm sick of fans doing that after THE BIG GAME. That's no way to act. I can't find out how things went in TB last night. Hope they were more civilized. BTW, it was great to see Jerry "Work Ethic" Rice walk of a Super Bowl field without a trophy. He'll get a ring for being with the AFC champions but not the nicer looking one he's used to getting. Thought I'd never get to see that.

Okay, where to start.

First of all, having arrogant fans doesn't make a team arrogant. Are the raider fans crazy? Yes. Do they do stupid things? Yes. Does that make Raider players sh*tholes? No.

Tim Brown and Jerry Rice are two of the greatest receivers ever. I think everyone can agree with that. Not only are they great receivers, but they are class acts and great ambassadors to the game. It's amazing that those two can make it to the super bowl at their age, while most receivers far younger (with more natural talent), like Randy Moss, cannot make it to the playoffs.

And you are glad that Frank Middleton didn't get a ring because he's a "lard ass"? Well, then the buc's offensive and defensive lines shouldn't have gotten a ring either, by your definition. In todays NFL, almost ALL offensive and defensive linemen are over 300 pounds. Not just Frank Middleton. Would you call Warren Sapp a lard ass, and tell him he doesn't need a ring? Of course not. By the way, I'm not a fat apologist, I'm at about 9% body fat and weigh 140 pounds. But, saying a defensive lineman shouldn't get a ring because he's fat is quite comical.

If you don't like the Raiders, that's fine. I love the Raiders. I personally hate Warren Sapp. I will admit that he earned his ring fair and square. But if violence erupted in Tampa, would he be responsible? Of course not. Jerry, Tim, and Rich aren't responsible for what a bunch of morons in Oakland did either. Condemn the idiots turning over cars, don't bash the players. People who do that remind me of poloticians who blame gun makers instead of homicidal killers for murder. Stupid inner city idiots are to blame, and Jerry Rice shouldn't ever be mentioned on this thread other than to say "nice TD catch".

Tampa Bay was probably just ok because there is no real city center for hoodlums to congregate like there is in other cities (Butthen again, I haven't been there in a long time).
